My hostel mate, Bukky in 2021 borrowed 23k from me because she needed money to send money to her mum who had health issues. She promised month end and that was why I gave her. Close to the time of repayment, she became scarce in the room. Apparently, she packed her essentials to go to another room to squat. I didn’t know the room she moved to, so I went to her close friend’s room to tell her about the money i was being owed. Her friend was now trying to paint me as inconsiderate. “You know things are hard for all of us and if it wasn’t for her mum’s health, she wouldn’t have asked for that money. Don’t pressure her. When she’s ready, she will pay you” 😂😂I foolishly bought the gimmick and just like that, Bukky was back to the room. Even stopped talking to me and was treating me like one bad egg. I was even scared of making eye contact with her because I did actually feel like I was inconsiderate😭😭 It was when things became tough at home it dawned on me I had 23k to collect. Nobody had to tell me to change it for her. Just to find out from our other roommates that the demon lost her mum when she was 2 years old and the money she collected was to add to her savings because she wanted to buy an iPhone.
