My great great grandparents were murdered in Auschwitz. My great grandmother lived under the Nuremberg laws. My grandmother survived Bergen Belsen. Jews, despite the anguish, never forget: we will survive this too. But the trauma is imprinted on our genes.
Pretty insane manipulation by @ft of @USAmbUN Mike Waltz.
Waltz says, “The president and the U.S. Navy can maintain this blockade for their foreseeable future,” flexing American power. FT turns that into a click-bait headline implying policy signals he didn't say
Garbage, completely fabricated headline from @FT and @ahauslohner.
The description of my comments in this article as well as in the podcast is conjecture on their part and they should correct it immediately.
Here is the full exchange:
“How long do you think it'll take to get Iran to capitulate under this status quo pressure?”
“Well, we'll see. The president and the U.S. Navy can maintain this blockade for their foreseeable future. The maximum pressure campaign is only tightening. The regime, which controls 40-50% of the Iranian economy, continues to suffer under the pressure. So our pursuit of a diplomatic solution is bolstered and backed by both economic and military, if necessary. That's the president's decision—pressure.”
“Do you think this could still be largely the status quo a year from now?”
“I'm not gonna put out hypotheticals. One would hope that they'll come to the table in a meaningful way before that.
“But if they don't—“
“Well, again, these are decisions for the president, how long he wants to sustain the blockade, how long he wants to pursue a diplomatic track with a mix of economic, diplomatic, and military pressure. Those are the decisions and the tough decisions and the hard truth that the American people elected him to follow and to do.”

Leave Lindsey Graham and his memory alone. The man can’t defend himself. It’s gross to speak ill of the dead.
“Os gevept” is a Yiddish phrase I recently learned meaning “I’m empty of bubbles” as in, I’m a seltzer that’s gone flat, as in, my social battery is drained pls leave me alone to get bubbly again, and I think it may be my new favorite Yiddish phrase.
I don’t want to brag but none of my siblings or parents have ever worked for or donated to a terrorist organization including but not limited to the Muslim brotherhood, ISIS and Hamas.
My extremely luke-warm take is that if you record your boss in internal meetings and leak them to the media reporters obsessed with your boss and their direct reports, you should be fired from your job.

Brad Lander went all the way to Israel hoping that he would get a photo op to show he's being oppressed by the Israeli government, and the best he could do is a sad face picture on an air conditioned bus passing a security checkpoint.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Brad.
You’ll have to pause your “advocacy”? Oh no!!!! I’m devastated!
TikTok just permanently banned my verified page for my advocacy for people with 3.7M followers. I am blacklisted from using Meta. I am demonetized on YouTube.
I lost my college education, career, and now my platforms.
Don’t know what to do right now. If you can support my voice/work please get a subscription to my publication yourfavoriteguy.com if we cannot rally enough support I fear I’ll have no choice but to pause my advocacy while I figure out how to get stable again.
It’s funny how “vote against your interests” wasn’t a winning strategy
My latest @WSJFreeEx: A majority of American Jews will vote for Democrats next month. But data suggest, particularly when compared with demographically similar groups, the Democratic Party can no longer rely on automatic Jewish support. The party has only itself to blame.
He’ll put more social workers on duty tho

Gossip journalists everywhere are bereft. The fun they would have had reporting on Christiane working for Bari!

Communism is incredibly bad for business
BREAKING: The number of restaurants in New York dropped ~2,000 YoY in Q1 2026, posting its largest YoY decline in at least 36 years.
This surpasses even the worst contraction recorded in any quarter during the 2020 pandemic.
The number of eating and drinking places in New York State has now declined YoY for 4 consecutive quarters, its longest streak since 2021.
This comes as restaurants are facing surging operating expenses, including insurance premiums, wages, interest rates, utilities, and health coverage, with overall costs rising faster than national averages.
Last year, employee health insurance costs jumped +12.9% for New York-area service firms, business insurance rose +7.0%, while utility costs surged +8.5%, according to the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce.
Skyrocketing costs are crushing New York restaurants.
Why don’t the people in the streets look young enough to be students?
Let me explain what’s happening in France. 🇫🇷
For years, students and citizens have felt ignored by a government that has repeatedly failed to listen to them. And now, people have finally reached their breaking point.
This isn’t some petty tantrum. We’re talking about very basic educational inequality and working conditions that a supposedly first-world country should be able to provide. While private institutions may remain largely unaffected, public schools and the students who depend on them continue to bear the consequences.
And with the next presidential election approaching, and the far right playing an increasingly prominent role in france’s politics, frustration is turning into anger, and anger is spilling into the streets.
Do not let the media convince you that this came out of nowhere. This was inevitable.
The actual protestors have manifested incredibly peacefully and have shown the true heart of their country, but as with so many large demonstrations in France, tensions escalate. Police brutality only fuels the fire, while others exploit the chaos as an excuse to vandalize and destroy the cities we love.
I will never condone that destruction. But I can understand where some of that anger comes from. When people feel that their families, their futures, and their most basic needs have been ignored for years, resentment builds up.
It genuinely breaks my heart to see my city burn the way it did yesterday. Paris is my home, and watching it suffer like this is devastating.
But we’ve been talking about actual change for over fifteen years, and I sincerely hope that, this time, someone in power finally listens before things get even worse.
I stand with everyone who has suffered through this chaos, whether they were protesting peacefully, simply trying to get home, or watching their cities being destroyed 😔🖤
