We’ve made it to the point where the hit mobile game Dragon Ball Legends can give an awakened platinum equipment to an Ultra character, but still can’t return them on new Ultra banners. I’m still stunned that the devs play in our faces like this and most people are just cool with it

The main thing that annoys me about Sparking Zero and dragon ball console games is the lack of updates. Like NEO for example dropped and literally broke multiple gameplay mechanics.
The least the devs could do is monitor for a week or 2 and drop a patch afterwards, but nope. They drop the BIGGEST UPDATE EVER and don’t even look to see if there are any bugs to fix and we’ve been stuck with stuff like side steps not working for 3 months now. It happens with all of these games and I think this is a big reason as to why Xenoverse 3 has us all scared too. The post launch support needs to be more if the idea is to keep these games alive
I personal take on it is that I fear it’s a necessary evil. They can make it a minigame and the minigame gets repetitive, reset to neutral and that may help the high tier gameplay a bit, but not as much as everyone thinks and it won’t change the casuals.
For casuals, they’re not hitting that many SC already anyways, so this scenario is rare. The biggest gripe they could have is their combos being stopped by it and that’ll happen regardless, and I don’t think the battle system is built to not super counter. Rolling hammer characters would just be unstoppable.
For sweats, all it would be is combo, super counter, neutral, combo, super counter, etc. i don’t think neutral is this end all be all solution, but I also don’t think it’s terrible. Like at that point the super counter should just reset to neutral on the first hit, but that’s a bad idea.
I think the most important change for these kind of super counter wars to reduce them is to make it so that SC don’t reset the vanishing chain. What I mean for those who don’t know, is for example, Base Goku after a knock away can do 2 vanishing/dashing strikes. SC will reset this for some reason, so you could do both of them, your opponent SCs, you win, and now you can do another 2 attacks when it should just end. This just makes people hit wayyyyy more SCs than what should be happening.
The minigame this is a no for me, but the neutral im iffy about, but I could see it maybe working. But the change I mentioned above is way more important imo. The game needs way more changes that affect the general PvP experience though over if SC should reset to neutral or not, especially for the casuals.
I have almost 4,000 hours in Xenoverse 2 and while I do have thoughts on Xenoverse 3, I wish I got to play any of the builds so I can give my thoughts on gameplay mechanics more, but I haven’t so I feel like a portion of my criticism would come from ignorance
So the dub will be 5 episodes behind. Not bad but man especially for a remake I wish it was 1:1 man. W for sure though considering how it normally is
