Looks like WRU ignored legal warning from URC. This is looking desperate.
"We have received a formal approach" 👀
Rugby Football Union chief executive Bill Sweeney has confirmed the Welsh Rugby Union has officially asked to join an Anglo-Welsh league 🏴🏴

Wales is English really....
Wales 11 - 12 English Clubs
Ireland/Leinster 12 - 11 Other Irish Clubs
For the 'Leinster is really Ireland' fanatics:
Leinster 12, Connacht 5, Ulster 4, Munster 2.
Absolutely STACKED 🤯☘️

Connacht will miss him and his antics.

Even using GNI* figures, Ireland still doing well after removing the heavy influence of multinationals.
Quite a contrast in this latest round 5. Premiership has gone all tight margins and defensive and URC teams blew out large margins across most of their games.
Great to see.
Diwrnod gêm 💪👻
And... it's officially a sellout!

Joey Carbery nailing all his kicks bar one in the pouring rain from out wide. Upping his chances with this showing.
Connacht have brought a Blade to a Gunne fight. Fintan emulating his mentor with a lovely long pass out to Deegan to score the bonus point try for @leinsterrugby

I’m so sorry to be killing Bambi for those of you that want an Anglo-Welsh league.
But I’ve spoken to a lot of knowledgeable people this week who’ve explained why it’s a pipe dream.
When does the moral Q, of saving Wales, come though?

“Matchday ticket sales are down because fans refuse to attend while a team's existence is threatened.”
Makes complete sense.
Not.
Replying to @WalesRugby @Steffan_Thomas1
I hope these aren’t just empty words.
Matchday ticket sales are down because fans refuse to attend while a team's existence is threatened.
It is incredibly naive to believe fans will return in the long term after a team is killed.
Premiership starting to tighten things up, whilst the URC lets loose a little more this weekend, but losing bonus points indicate scorelines remain highly competitive. Overall, here's how the three leagues look after four rounds.
Puts the @connachtrugby thrashing last week in perspective if Harlequins are beating them
