In 1968, the DNC was held in Chicago. The incumbent President had announced he was not running, and the VP was the presumptive nominee. Unrest over war and expansion of Rights caused everything to boil over into rioting.

The caucus for the presidential nomination in Greene County went as smoothly as it possibly could today. There were divisions of opinion, but everyone that I saw was polite in their disagreement.
President Trump won the delegates to the 7th District by a tremendous majority.

To the degree that Gaza is an "Open Air Prison," as has been oft repeated, that is true only because the surrounding Arab States refuse entry to the Palestinians. Aside from wondering why that is, is it not then the case that the Arab States are equally to "blame" for this?
When a sovereign State is assaulted by terrorism, as Israel has been, attempts to justify the atrocities are abhorrent. Isreal has every right to destroy the threat Hamas poses permanently, and should. Calling for peace is just, but there is no peace while Hamas remains viable.

Congress has failed to create and pass a budget according to its own rules for each of the last 46 years. Not unrelatedly, there have been 21 governmental shutdowns due to lack of approved funding in that same time frame.

I'm seeing a lot of "inflation is down" statements lately. However, that's not true.
The RATE of inflation is down from its recent high, but inflation is cumulative in affect. Year over year, that 9% hasn't disappeared, it has been increased by an ADDITIONAL 4% over the high.
