AI is becoming a more accepted part of gaming, especially among younger players. Bain’s Gaming Report 2026 found that 42% of gamers feel more comfortable with AI in games than they did a year ago. Among players aged 13–17, that rises to 59%. For studios, that could mean more room to experiment with AI across gameplay, personalisation and player experiences. Game worlds are increasingly finding new uses in AI research. ARC Raiders has inspired robotics simulations, Monster Hunter gameplay has contributed to an AI dataset of over 108 million frames, and Minecraft is being used to test collaboration between AI agents. Google DeepMind’s Genie 3 adds another angle. The world model can generate interactive environments from text prompts, creating controllable virtual worlds that can be used to train and evaluate AI agents. These examples show how gaming environments can provide new ways to train and test AI systems. The DMCC Gaming Centre connects gaming companies with Dubai’s wider technology ecosystem, including the DMCC AI Centre. Join the DMCC Gaming Centre: dmcc.tech/4ruXMdx
