Hundreds of ALPA pilots are on Capitol Hill today, asking Congress to protect Section 4 of the ROTOR Act in any final aviation safety bill. When proven technology exists and consequences are too great to ignore, Congress must not settle for a partial fix. #ALPA2026Summit

As the father of an airline pilot, the words from these loving parents at the #ALPA2026Summit really struck me. Congress can help by protecting the "ADS-B In" mandates in Section 4 of the ROTOR Act in their final aviation safety bill. @ALPAPilots support @famofflight5342 ✈️
"We cannot change what happened...but we have the opportunity to make changes from the lessons learned." Tim and Sheri Lilley give a heartfelt keynote in memory of their son, Honorary Capt. Sam Lilley. @famofflight5342 deserve action. #ALPA2026Summit

This should be an easy one. Time for Congress to do the right thing for aviation safety and the traveling public ✈️
Speaking up for aviation safety and for pilots is core to our mission. That's why we're calling on Congress to include the ADS-B In language from the Senate-passed ROTOR Act in final law.

Join me as I answer some of your burning questions. Are single pilot crews safe? This is something I’m frequently asked, and my answer is not going to change anytime soon. #CaptSully #AMA #SinglePilotCrews #Aviation

We are committed to increasing security in the air transportation system to prevent another attack like the horrific events of September 11, 2001, but one key gap still exists in safeguarding the flight deck. Earlier this year, @SenBobCasey (D-PA) introduced the Saracini Enhanced Aviation Safety Act (S.911) to address this gap: his legislation mandates installation of a such a barrier between cabin and cockpit on all passenger planes in the United States, not only new ones. Named after Captain Victor Saracini who piloted United 175 when it was hijacked by terrorists on 9/11, the Saracini Enhanced Aviation Safety Act will keep pilots, passengers, and American aviation safe from future attacks. “For more than 20 years, airline pilots have been committed in ensuring that the legacy of all who lost their lives or were harmed on September 11, 2001, is that of a safer and more secure U.S. air transportation system. ALPA has long supported the use of secondary barriers and are grateful to Senator Casey for honoring Capt. Saracini’s memory,” said our President Capt. Jason Ambrosi, in the Senator’s press release about the legislation. “Installing secondary barriers on all passenger aircraft is a long overdue, cost-effective way to preserve the integrity of the flightdeck and keep crews and passengers safe.” Learn more: casey.senate.gov/news/releas… #NeverForget #September11 #Aviation #Safety #Airlines #Pilots #SecondaryBarriers

While mandatory secondary barriers were recommended in the 9/11 Commission’s final report, the industry has lagged far beyond in voluntary installation. The hardened cockpit door is only an effective security layer while it is closed. In order to safeguard our aircraft against hijacking attempts, a secondary barrier is necessary on ALL passenger aircraft. Please join us in calling on #Congress to support the installation of secondary barriers on all passenger airplanes, not only newly manufactured aircraft. alpa.quorum.us/campaign/4922… #NeverForget #September11 #Aviation #Safety #SecondaryBarriers #Flying #Cargo #AirTravel

We must do more to keep #aviation safe and secure from attacks. @SenBobCasey introduced a bill to do just that by requiring all passenger planes –– not just new ones –– to have #SecondaryBarriers between cabin and cockpit. Learn more: casey.senate.gov/news/releas…

Secondary barriers on ALL aircraft, NOW!
ANOTHER attack on a cockpit:wnep.com/article/news/local/… 1 day bad-actors will just wait for pilots to unlock them to sleep (cross-ocean), get food-trays, or use lavatory like 19 hijackers did—see pages 158 & 245 of 9/11 report. PASS #S911: @HSGAC @commercedems @TransportDems @POTUS

Great example of @ALPAPilots pushing for the most important “public interest” in these proceedings — #aviation safety …. ✈️
We raised concerns RE:#WizzAir due to their schemes to skirt #safety & #labor laws. We’re grateful that @USDOT & @FAANews heard us & understood the potential risks that insufficient oversight of Wizz Air could pose to the safety of our #aviation system & dismissed the application

America isn't facing a "pilot shortage." In fact, there's a surplus of pilots that exceed current U.S. airline hiring needs, all while higher safety standards have been enacted as law and have reduced airline fatalities by 99.8%. Learn more: bit.ly/3xDefCw
