I have to provide context as Mark Carney looking to restart mass immigration and spinning the stats he is quoting to the media who isn't questioning him.
Here is what is actually happening.
> Liberals are now looking to mass immigrate foreigners under permanent residency and it won't require proof that companies can't find Canadians.
> We are moving away from temporary visas and converting as many as possible to permanent residents while still taking on TFW. This pads the numbers of temporary workers in Canada.
Here is the important data:
> the work permits Canada is issuing are surging.
> so far to August this year, Canada issued/renewed 732k work permits. That's already 96% of all issued in 2025.
> 2026's work permit issuing will be close to 2023's which was a record year.
Canada doesn't have immigration under control as Mark Carney trying to claim. We are issuing hundreds of thousands of work permits that keep wages down while Canada and Canadian are losing jobs.

Truly, if you are a long time Canadian citizen & you support the @liberal_party & @MarkJCarney the youth of the country are right to see you as selfish & deplorable.
Their future opportunities (and any chance of growing wages) will disappear is the tidal wave of foreign hiring.

Starting Nov 3, the Liberals will let employers hire a foreign worker for a "high-wage" job with NO REQUIREMENT to try a Canadian first.
IT’S A DIRECT RESIDENCY PATH
Not a temporary visa you can send home.
Permanent status, right out of the gate.
Then comes the chain.
Permanent residency means sponsorship: spouse, kids, parents, grandparents to follow.
One approval becomes a household.
No requirement to offer the job to a Canadian first.
And "high-wage" is a trick.
It means the job category averages about $40/hr, roughly $84,000 a year.
BUT THE WORKER THEY ACTUALLY BRING DOESN’T HAVE TO BE PAID THAT.
The paycheque can be low.
Only the job title has to be high.
Weeks after 68,300 Canadians lost their jobs.

Your @liberal_party government seems to have the best interests of corporations at heart.
Which spells disaster for the lives of most citizens, especially those just joining the workforce.

Carney and Ford made this decision. They are taking OSAP student loans away from tens of thousands of *Canadian students* attending Ontario private colleges (eg. trade schools, Christian schools). But they're still giving loans to students studying in foreign countries.
