Cruelty creeps in quietly, repackaged as “common sense,” and ordinary people going along with it. The Nazi regime could not have functioned without the consent and cooperation of ordinary people. The Nazis repackaged the murder of disabled people as “mercy” and claimed that disabled people were stealing money from healthy, hard-working families. They framed social care and welfare as an unaffordable national burden, just like they do today. This is the same rhetoric being fed into the British public by politicians and media.
Oh M G just watched. Thanks for letting us know about this's program. I think the historical part will shock a lot of people. We hear jewish people playing the holocaust card in the news daily to explain away the genocide in Palestine and ethnic cleansing in Lebanon.. Disabled people being bashed constantly for being lazy benefit cheats don't mention this daily: Will hearing the numbers in Germany of those sterilised against their will and murdered in gas chambers will shock some people who disability bash daily in the media. Do they realise how this framing echos Nazi useless eaters propaganda? Will the politicians watch it though? Will they realise this is where the IFS and TBI are pushing the narrative? It wasn't just in Germany.. in UK and Germany and the Nordic countries too during the same time. Look up the experiments done on Autistic and neurodiverse people in America at the same time .... Look how fallen women were treated in Ireland and hysterical women in UK... Scary stuff that you may never recover from reading... Many of the people going round the SegroCare home just accepted it all: we are so far down the rabbit hole with Kemi and Helen and Liz and Pat & Stephen listening to IFS and TBI lies.. repeating them online and on politics and news programmes day in day out. At least four people questioned it ... but the rest thought dormitories with cameras, uniforms and pocket money, sterilisation and euthanasia all looked ticket boo... So disappointing but scarily unsurprising. :(

As someone with a keen interest in #Mentalhealth I asked @nimbusdis some very specific questions around how their #disability #accesscard criteria is applied..👇🏼that was on 29 September, they’ve failed to respond, to date. Abysmal behaviour

The Disability Poverty Campaign Group (DPCG) has sent a letter to the Chancellor, John Healey, urging him to break the endless cycle of disability poverty and to rebuild trust between the community and the government. Read the full story & letter here: disabilityrightsuk.org/news/…

It’s simpler than that. We hate him because he’s a pedo c*nt.
“Why do some British people dislike Donald Trump?” Nate White, an eloquent and witty English writer, gave this magnificent answer: Trump lacks certain qualities that the British traditionally value. He has no nobility, no charm, no composure, no gravitas, no compassion, no wit, no warmth, no wisdom, no subtlety, no sensitivity, no self-awareness, no humility, no honour, and no grace — qualities with which, strangely enough, his predecessor, Mr Obama, was abundantly blessed. Although Trump may be ridiculous, he has never said anything ironic, amusing, or even remotely funny — not once, ever. I do not mean this rhetorically. I mean it literally: never. To the British, a lack of humour is almost inhuman. But with Trump, it is a fact. He does not even seem to understand what a joke is. To him, a joke is a crude remark, an illiterate insult, an act of casual cruelty. Trump is like a troll: he never laughs or enjoys himself; he merely squeals with delight or derision. And the most frightening thing is that he does not merely utter crude and stupid insults: he actually means them. His mind is nothing more than a robotic algorithm of petty prejudices and instinctive malice. There is no irony in him, no complexity, no subtlety, no depth. Everything is superficial. What we see is a man without an inner world, without a soul. In Britain, we traditionally side with David, not Goliath. All our heroes are courageous underdogs: Robin Hood, Dick Whittington, Oliver Twist. Trump is neither courageous nor an underdog. He is the exact opposite. He is not even merely a spoiled rich boy or a greedy fat cat. He is more like a giant white slug, a privileged Jabba the Hutt. And, worse still, he is a bully. When he finds himself among other bullies, he suddenly becomes a whining lackey. He punches down — something a gentleman should never, could never, and must never do — and every blow he delivers is below the belt. He particularly enjoys attacking the vulnerable or the voiceless, and he kicks them when they are down. That is why the fact that a substantial minority — perhaps a third — of Americans watch what he does, listen to what he says, and then think, “Yes, he seems like my kind of guy,” is a source of bewilderment and profound distress to the British. After all, it is impossible to read a single tweet of his or hear him utter a sentence or two without staring into the abyss. He turns shallowness into an art form. He is the Picasso of pettiness, the Shakespeare of shit. His flaws are fractal: even his flaws have flaws, and so on to infinity. There have always been stupid people in the world, and villains have never been in short supply either. But rarely has stupidity been so evil, or evil so stupid. He makes Nixon seem trustworthy and George W. Bush seem intelligent. If Frankenstein had decided to create a monster composed entirely of human flaws, he would have created Trump, and the remorseful Dr Frankenstein would have cried out in despair, “My God, what have I created?” If an idiot were a television show, Trump would be the entire set.

“MUST have registered for a Nimbus Disability Access Card.” Why, @YorkBarbican? Disabled people have rights under the Equality Act 2010. Accessibility is a legal duty, not a membership scheme.

#TheExperiment I watched The Experiment on Channel 4, and I genuinely wasn't prepared for how much it would affect me. I've deliberately kept this video as raw and honest as possible, with very little editing and hardly any background blurring. I wanted to share my thoughts exactly as they came, without polishing away the emotion. Sometimes what you have to say matters far more than how a video looks. The historical footage of Nazi atrocities against disabled people was deeply upsetting. But what frightened me just as much was watching how easily people could be persuaded that separating disabled people from society was somehow an act of protection. As a disabled woman and disability rights advocate, the programme brought back conversations about institutional care in East Yorkshire, including accounts shared with me by a nursing sister who had worked at De La Pole Hospital. It also made me reflect on the importance of independent living, the assisted dying debate, inappropriate DNACPR decisions during COVID, and the language we use when talking about disabled people. This isn't a political speech or a television review. It's my personal reaction to a programme that left me deeply unsettled. There is a huge difference between protecting disabled people and protecting society from disabled people. I'd genuinely like to hear your thoughts. Did The Experiment leave you feeling uncomfortable too? Please keep the discussion respectful. When Disabled people are repeatedly framed as a cost, it affects how society sees us. @Channel4's The Experiment confronts ableism, segregation and the consequences of devaluing Disabled lives. Read a blog on the programme here: disabilityrightsuk.org/news/…

Judging by the abuse disabled people get everyday and the toxic narrative pushed by politicians and media, it’s easy to see how public opinion can be swayed into accepting eugenics. We’re already halfway there. Disabled people have been warning you for ages about history repeating itself. #TheExperiment

As the author of the only history book detailing over 100 years of disability rights in the UK, #TheExperiment was utterly baffling to watch. How little they touched on the fact that this rhetoric is still here, and that's WHY so many of the visitors still supported it.

#C4TheExperiment is why disabled people pushed back at assisted dying. History is already repeating itself a century along and if it’s made legal who knows where it’ll end.

Turning Point UK has serious questions to answer. Al Jazeera’s new investigation exposes the links between a Northern Irish paramilitary hitman and Turning Point UK, a far right group run by Nick Tenconi and Jack Ross.
