Η ΜΕΓΑΛΗ ΑΥΤΑΠΑΤΗ ΤΗΣ ΑΝΑΠΤΥΞΗΣ: 172η ΣΤΟΝ ΚΟΣΜΟ, ΜΕ ΤΟ ΔΕΥΤΕΡΟ ΜΕΓΑΛΥΤΕΡΟ ΕΛΛΕΙΜΜΑ ΕΙΣΑΓΩΓΩΝ ΕΞΑΓΩΓΩΝ από το 2012.
Έχετε καταλάβει τί ισχύει; Έχουμε το δεύτερο μεγαλύτερο ρεκόρ ελλείμματος Εισαγωγών-Εξαγωγών Αγαθών και Υπηρεσιών στα τελευταία 14 χρόνια. Η Ελλάδα στο Επτάμηνο του 2026 έχει το δεύτερο μεγαλύτερο έλλειμμα Τρεχουσών Συναλλαγών στα τελευταία 14 χρόνια με τις εξαγωγες να υπολείπονται των εισαγωγών κατά - 9,32 δις. Το πρώτο χειρότερο ήταν στο 2022 με -12,15 δις και οφείλεται στην κρίση Covid. Η χώρα πλέον κινείται στις 19 χειρότερες οικονομίες στις 190 χώρες του κόσμου σε έλλειμμα τρεχουσών συναλλαγών προς ΑΕΠ.
Σύμφωνα με τις χθεσινές προβλέψεις του ΔΝΤ (World Economic Outlook, October 2026), η Ελλάδα σε έλλειμμα ισοζυγίου Τρεχουσών Συναλλαγών:
▫️ ΤΟ 2026 ΒΡΙΣΚΕΤΑΙ ΣΤΗΝ 172η ΘΕΣΗ ΣΤΟΥΣ 190 του κόσμου (δηλαδή στις 19 χειρότερες οικονομίες παγκοσμίως) [Προσπερνά μόνο αυτούς: Σουρινάμ (-51,0%), Τιμόρ-Λέστε (-38,5%), Δομινίκα (-35,7%), Γρενάδα (-22,8%), Μολδαβία (-22,0%), Μαυροβούνιο (-19,7%), Μαλδίβες (-18,6%), Άγιος Βικέντιος & Γρεναδίνες (-17,2%), Μπουτάν (-16,3%), Σαιντ Κιτς και Νέβις (-16,2%), Κιριμπάτι (-16,1%), Παλάου (-13,8%), Φίτζι (-12,9%), Αντίγκουα και Μπαρμπούντα (-12,7%), Ουκρανία (-11,0%), Κόσοβο (-9,3%), Μπαχάμες (-9,3%), Καμπότζη (-8,7%), Βουλγαρία (-8,0%), Κύπρος (-7,7%), Ρουμανία (-7,0%) (Ελλάδα: -6,6%)]

Το δομικό παραγωγικό έλλειμμα οξύνεται και διευρύνεται η μεγαλύτερη ανοιχτή πληγή της χώρας, 7 χρόνια μετά την έξοδο απ τα μνημόνια παρα τα 36 δις του Ταμείου Ανάκαμψης. Και τα χειρότερα έπονται: το 2027 στο προσχέδιο ΠΥ 2027 σημειώνεται ετήσια μείωση του συνολικού ΠΔΕ κατά 35% από τα 17 δις το 2026 στα 11 δις το 2027.
Μέσα σε αυτή την κακοδαιμονία μιας χώρας που δεν παράγει και βρίσκεται σε καθεστώς ρεκόρ μη βιώσιμης ανάπτυξης, το πολυπρόσωπο Γραφείο Προϋπολογισμού της Βουλής στην έκθεση του Σεπτεμβρίου που παρουσιάζεται στους βουλευτές την Παρασκευή βρίσκεται, ως προς αυτά τα στοιχεία, τέσσερις μήνες πίσω. Τα παρουσιάζει με ξερά νούμερα χωρίς να σχολιάζει ουδόλως την κατηφόρα της χώρας.

Το Ινστιτούτο «Αρχιπέλαγος» καταγγέλλει στην Ευρωπαϊκή Εισαγγελία ότι τουλάχιστον 52 εκατομμύρια ευρώ από το πρόγραμμα Leader Αλιείας «φαγώθηκαν» σε ξενοδοχεία, γυμναστήρια, εστιατόρια, spa, καφετέριες και άλλες άσχετες δραστηριότητες, αντί να στηρίξουν τους ψαράδες που καταρρέουν.

You may or may not know, @TrustWallet faced this exact same bug years ago, a pseudo-random number generator, ie, not truly random, $12m in losses. They covered every user.
Software will always have bugs. What matters is who’s behind it.
$1.6 million dollars in Bitcoin was drained from my account on July 29th in the Cold Card wallet hack.
My Bitcoin was in cold storage. My keys were on a ColdCard device kept in a safety deposit box that had never been connected to the internet.
This part's nerdy, but here's what happened:
Hackers discovered a vulnerability in the part of the hardware wallet code used to create seed phrases.
This allowed them to use AI to brute force guessing seed phrases.
I was at our cottage and heard about the hack today.
"No way this affects me." I thought.
I logged into Wasabi––software that lets me view my bitcoin wallets online.
Right away I saw lines of red transaction–withdrawals–and I knew.
From 9:36pm - 9:43pm on July 29th, every wallet I had had been emptied.
18.25245043 btc gone. That's just over $1.6 million dollars CAD.
Perhaps the hardest part about this is that I did everything right.
I never shared my seed phrase with anybody. My devices never touched the internet. Everything was kept in multiple safes and safety deposit boxes.
None of it mattered. All because the hardware that created the seed phrase originally had one line in their code from 2021 that had a vulnerability.
I'm filing a police report and a report with the Ontario Securities Commission. But I don't expect to recoup anything.
A part of me is trying to make sense of what just happened. Or try to figure out a lesson in it. I'm struggling. $1.6 million is a staggering amount of money to have stolen.
I guess all that I can think about right now is that I'm so damn happy that I'm an entrepreneur and that my earning potential is under my control. Mark my damn words. I'll recover.
