A voter was interviewed on Israeli news, along with two first-time voters, about what led them to choose who to vote for. One of them said that his main issue was that "I don't want there to be Arabs here in the country." The reporter nodded enthusiastically. Say hello to the next generation of Israeli voter.

Daniel Levy | Former Israeli Peace Negotiator | US/Middle East Project (@USMEP): Netanyahu did not alone commit genocide for 3 years. He did not alone maintain decades of illegal occupation. It was system-wide. Eisenkot was part of it & served in the military. He sat in the emergency unity security cabinet after Oct. 7 - during the genocide. Israeli generals, soldiers & judges - all part of a system-wide mobilization. Dissenting voices existed but remained marginal.

At Nusseibeh's town hall @yonahdiamond asks a *very* pointed question about the UAE's complicity in Sudan She answers that she no longer works for the UAE gov, so those questions should be directed there. She stresses that ending the Sudan war would be a top priority.

On this Israeli election day, I’d recommend reading this extraordinary @haaretzcom interview with billionaire Ronald Lauder, president of the World Jewish Congress and once one of Benjamin Netanyahu’s closest confidants. One of Lauder’s most striking conclusions: “I realized at the end of the day that Israel really didn't want peace, but they wanted dominance.” This is coming from someone who helped launch Netanyahu’s political career, introduced him to powerful figures in American politics and media, and secretly negotiated with Hafez al-Assad and Rafik Hariri on his behalf in the late 1990s. In one of the interview’s biggest revelations, Lauder says Netanyahu agreed to a comprehensive peace deal with Syria and Lebanon, including withdrawal from the Golan Heights, but ultimately refused to sign it for political reasons. “He chose politics over peace. He put his political future before the deal.” Now 82, Lauder describes his profound disillusionment with Israel’s direction. After decades of supporting Israeli and Jewish institutions, he has sold his Tel Aviv apartment, given away his Be’er Sheva property, and says he has no intention of returning to Israel. He warns that Netanyahu’s dependence on figures like Ben-Gvir and Smotrich is damaging Israel, alienating diaspora Jews and eroding support in Washington. The interview is also full of fascinating details about Lauder’s role in Netanyahu’s political rise. The two became close friends in the 1980s, when Netanyahu was Israel’s ambassador to the UN, speaking almost daily at times. Lauder says he introduced Netanyahu to speech coach Lilyan Wilder to improve his public speaking and, crucially, to Republican strategist Arthur Finkelstein, who would become instrumental in Netanyahu’s electoral success. When Netanyahu left New York to pursue a political career in Israel, Lauder threw him a farewell party attended by some of the most influential figures in American media and politics, including Rupert Murdoch and the head of the New York Times. Lauder recalls opening doors for Netanyahu and helping him cultivate the relationships that would underpin his rise to power. What makes this interview so revealing is that Lauder is no longtime critic of Israel. He had been a committed Zionist, a Republican power broker, and a man who spent decades financing Jewish institutions, cultivating relationships with Arab leaders, and pursuing diplomatic openings on Israel’s behalf. A fascinating read 👇 haaretz.com/israel-news/elec…

The killing and violence Israel is responsible for are escalating across the West Bank. But the Elimination Project that Israel is carrying out goes far beyond that. As our head of field research Kareem Jubran explains, it is about dismantling the conditions that allow Palestinians to exist as a people, a society and a collective in their homeland. The Elimination Project is an ongoing process that affects every aspect of life. It involves demolishing homes, expelling communities, taking over land and water sources, destroying livelihoods and suppressing political and social organizing. Israel prevents people from getting to work, going to school or harvesting olives on their own land. Violence by soldiers and settler militias keeps millions of Palestinians in a constant state of fear, turning even simple everyday activities into potential threats to their lives and physical safety. This is the Elimination Project: a set of mechanisms working together to push Palestinians off their land and dismantle their ability to live together as an independent society, with their own institutions, identity, rights and future. At the same time, Israel is expanding and deepening its control and Jewish presence across the West Bank. How do all these mechanisms work together? Watch our short film about the Elimination Project that Israel is carrying out in the West Bank >> btselem.org/the_elimination_…

As Palestinians begin the olive harvest, masked Israeli settlers are attacking farmers, burning trees, stealing livelihoods and terrorizing entire communities. Even diplomats and journalists have been attacked. Let's stop pretending these are the actions of a few extremists. This violence is enabled, supported and protected by a system designed to entrench unlawful occupation, apartheid and the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians. States that claim to support international law must finally match words with action: avoid complicity, ban settlement trade, impose targeted sanctions, stop arms transfers, and back international justice. Enough rhetoric. Palestinians need protection and accountability now. amnesty.org/en/latest/news/2…

What is most revealing about this map is that Netanyahu openly shows the UAE's Axis of Secessionists and their networks as Israel-aligned networks, in Sudan, Libya, Somalia and Yemen
Netanyahu displayed this map of the Middle East, divided into different factions, during his speech on Israel's security earlier today.

Remember the settler who ran over a Palestinian by the side of the road? Kind of hard to forget. He was never charged with a crime and had now been arrested for his involvement in the brutal attack on Washing Post photojournalist Heidi Levine.

The IDF declared a “closed military zone” to disperse people who gathered for a children’s concert and graduation ceremony in Umm al-Khair, the West Bank. The injustice of the occupation is especially stark in the way it affects the lives of children living under it. In Umm al-Khair is constantly under attacks from settler terrorists, backed by the IDF. Last April, settlers erected a fence blocking the village's children from reaching their school. And last February, the IDF attempted to demolish a football field built for the children in memory of Awdah Hathaleen.

Israeli President Isaac Herzog apologized on Saturday to Washington Post photojournalist Heidi Levine after she was injured in an attack by Israeli settlers in the West Bank the previous day, after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu questioned her account. Netanyahu cast doubt on reports of the incident, saying footage did not establish responsibility and that "serious accusations require serious evidence" The president's response came as former heads of the IDF, Mossad and Shin Bet expressed support for Levine, saying they were "deeply ashamed" that Jewish extremists continued to attack Palestinians, those who assist them and those documenting the violence. | @lizarozovsky 🔗Read more here: haaretz.com/israel-news/isra…

This will get overshadowed by the attack on an American journalist, but half an hour after Heidi was beaten, the IDF shot a Palestinian man simply standing inside his own village. Then the soldiers pointed an assault rifle at the paramedics trying to help the victim.

Washington Post photojournalist Heidi Levine was hospitalized after settlers brutally beat and robbed her while she covered the West Bank olive harvest. The attack drew condemnation from the U.S. Embassy, press freedom groups and Israel's journalists' union.
