I taught for 10 years before becoming an esports coach, then spent years building esports-specific coaching frameworks.
Since 2018, I've trained 1,000+ coaches, several now pro, at Worlds, or winning international events.

Coaching during scrims should be done more. It is very effective when done right.
Too many coaches are afraid to be annoying "because players said so" it is not the players, it is the coach's way of how he coaches during scrims.
🎙 | G2 Perkz on talking to players during scrims:
"i'm being more creative with my approach to practice, i'm talking to players during scrims about what I want them to do, things like; let's be aggressive here, let's dive here or let's play defensive here, you have to speak up and carry"
"I would be bored if I don't do it, I know it can trigger people but I think it's a way to make practice more productive as well, if the flow keeps going and the game is good of course I will not interfere, but if the game is not good I wanna make every single minute I'm using be the most productive because otherwise I might as well go get a coffee and sit on the couch and scroll twitter"
"this is not about narcissism, but you can't do it unless you've been a successful pro player, those are the perks of me being me, I have the automatic authority because of my accomplishments as a player, that allows me to be more creative and dive deeper into the knowledge of the game"

Directing and reminding player on things allows them to stay in "flow".
By prompting and giving direction, and reminding what the tasks and goals are, this is HIGHLY effective.
Looking forward to see @Perkz evolving his approaches.
I like his bold mentality, pushing conventional ways of thinking. It comes with risks, but it is to be respected.

4 things to prepare yourself as a coach for next season
1. Schedule "off-time"
2. Find education to elevate your coaching skills, and structure that in your agenda as well
3. Aim to connect with 1 new connection every week to share experiences
4. Reflect on your coaching systems
"success usually comes to those who are too busy to be looking for it" - Henry David Thoreau
Keep building your legacy coach, keep improving, every single day. Then success will follow.
The biggest issue for most coaches is finding a solid structure for their coaching sessions, a framework.
Check out the webinar that I did about how to structure your coaching like a pro. Step by step. Super practical.
Use it or lose it, coach!

When I create courses, templates, and everything, I follow "Simplexity" combination of simple and complex. Meaning:
It is simple to implement, with complexity behind it if you want to understand how it works.
Producing good results from the start, and great when mastered.
The biggest challenge I faced while creating my coaching systems and templates etc. is to make it PRACTICAL and IMPACTFUL for any level of coach, whether that is a coach in their first year or a professional coach with 10 years pro experience.
