#ThisIsKIF1A from Gia's mom: "Gia's big sister, Juliana, had to write a letter at school. They could write whatever they wanted to whomever they wanted. This letter is what she decided to write. Since Gia died, this is KIF1A for us now. ...

ALT Image is of Juliana’s hand-written letter dated January 10, 2022 that has her drawing of KIF1A and “needs a cure” in blue and red marker. The letter says “Dear Dr. Chung, I know you have put alot of work in saving peoples lives. You are a hero! I want to be just like you one day. Gia was a hero to me and I hope that she is a hero to everyone. Gia was everything to me and when you took a peace of her brain, I knew that you would find a cure for KIF1A! I believe in you! Love, Gia’s sister, Juliana Capello
