Early morning Bible Study always seems to line up with struggles I face.
In Nehemiah 5 this morning studying the internal conflicts that plagued the Jews. Just yesterday I met with a member of team discussing many of the headwinds we face, and the majority were internal.
External factors and competition are present, but these do not keep me up at night.
Lord I pray for the wisdom and leadership you provided to Nehemiah and strength to endure this season.
If your roster, budget, or reputation has been trimmed, it may not be punishment. It may be how God keeps you from winning in a way that makes you proud.
Biblical Leadership Study this Labor Day
Judges 7:2-8
Wild how God can provide if you are just willing to listen. The message from church yesterday centered around work felt like it was directed right at me.
Changing Tactics - Biblical Lesson For Business
David faced the same enemy twice in 2 Samuel 5.
First time, God said go straight at them. David did. Victory.
Second time, the Philistines came back to the same valley. Same opponent. Same ground. Easy to assume the same play would work. David asked again. God said no. Do not go up. Circle behind them. Wait for the sound in the trees. Then move.
Two different strategies. Same outcome. Victory.
That is the part most teams miss. The first win becomes a method. The method becomes a habit. The habit becomes “we have always done it this way” and “we tried that before.” David refused both. He did not worship yesterday’s tactic. He inquired of God again and executed a new plan with the same intensity.
That is how we lead today. The customer does not owe us last year’s approach. The market does not care that a tactic failed in 2019. If the assignment is the same, the method may not be. Ask again. Listen. Change the angle. Then hit it with everything we have.
Same mission. Fresh obedience. Victory.
Biblical Leadership Study Day 2
Exodus 4:10-18
A clear call to the role of men, both as a provider and a protector. “Don’t be afraid. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your family, your sons, your daughters, your wife, and your home”. Exodus 4:14
“and each of the builders wore his sword at his side as he worked”. Exodus 4:18
Lord grant me the ability to provide for my family, but when that trumpet sounds, allow my hands to wage war on the enemy. Amen.
“The Lord turned to him and said, “Go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian’s hand. Am I not sending you?””

I’ve never been more excited about a project. I can’t wait to go after a piece of this. @elonmusk - I’d like to take on all the Mechanical Infrastructure; piping, valves, chillers, and all the components in between.

God Wink:
8/23 Bible Study on “Samson’s Nazirite Vow and Its Meaning” discussing areas of compromise that are weakening your spiritual strength.
I’m using a pocket sized Bible when traveling that I received in 1998, that probably hasn’t been opened since.
While flipping to 2 Timothy 1:16-18 for today’s study, I notice 2 Timothy 2:22 is circled….28 year old Bible with a directly relevant verse to an area of struggle today, circled nearly 3 decades ago.
God is great.
1 Samuel 14:6
“Come, let’s go over to the outpost…”
This teaches us our Faith is not one to sit on the sidelines, not to cower in the fear of offending someone, and certainly not to sit idle and watch our country & community fall to the wicked.
Johnathan didn’t sit and wait, with his Faith and his armor bearer, he laid waste to the wicked. We need this courage in 2026.
