Ikemoto did a good job of conveying the different attitudes of society using the example of these 4 characters.Let's look at these so-called social sanctions - society's reaction to people's behaviorโฌ๏ธ

This is probably how Sarada felt during those 3 years of trying to clear Borutoโs name and defend her family in the village.
Iโm so glad she finally let her feelings out after years of repressed pain

This scene is not really about Kawaki explaining his plan. It is about him talking to the one person whose opinion still matters to him, while making sure that person cannot talk back.
That is not a conversation. It is a one-sided confession.
Kawaki keeps saying he sealed Naruto to protect him. But the way he speaks shows he also wants Naruto to understand why he became the person he is now.
He wants the man he sees as his father to look at the choices he has made and still accept him.
The problem is that he already decided what the answer should be.
By keeping Naruto sealed, he removed the chance of hearing โno.โ He gets to keep the version of Naruto that lives in his head, the one who might agree, instead of the real Naruto who would most likely try to stop him.
That is the real tragedy of the moment.
The more Kawaki tries to justify himself, the more he proves he still needs the person he silenced.
He is not only trying to destroy the ลtsutsuki. He is also trying to avoid the fear that Naruto would look at him and say he has gone too far.
Until he is willing to hear that answer, every reason he gives will stay unfinished.
He is speaking to a man who cannot reply, because deep down, he is still afraid of what the reply would be.
๐จ KAWAKI IS STILL TRYING TO JUSTIFY HIMSELF TO THE ONE PERSON WHO CANโT ANSWER HIM?
In Chapter 38, Kawaki visits Naruto and explains why he believes eliminating the Otsutsuki is necessary.
But Naruto cannot respond to him.
That makes the conversation interesting because Kawaki is not debating someone who can challenge his reasoning. He is explaining his choices to the person whose approval matters most to him.
Perhaps Kawaki doesnโt only want to protect Naruto.
Perhaps he also needs Naruto to understand why he became someone Naruto would never have wanted him to become.
The tragedy is that Kawaki has placed Naruto somewhere he cannot hear him, while continuing to seek the understanding that only Naruto could give him.
Does Kawaki truly believe Naruto would agree with his methods, or is he afraid to hear what Naruto would actually say?
