It’s not even about the in-actual match features. It’s about how Magic’s resource system allows so much more room for creativity. Other games just lack the deck building artistry that Magic offers.

It’s more like they can't copy it 1 for 1, so they always end up with a compromised version. Magic’s resource system is THE reason that it’s still the best game out there.

There's no way that people ACTUALLY thing the salvageable thing about Magic is the resource system, right? The resource system in Magic is the TEXTBOOK, SQUARE ONE thing that other games look at and go "How can we improve upon this to remove it from our game?" There are PLENTY of things to look at Magic for and to go, "Aw, man. This game is sick because of ___ that doesn't convert well in other games" BUT THE RESOURCE SYSTEM? C'mon bro. April Fools' was 194 days ago.

Not a big fan of this design in every set, especially when it’s the third set in a row with literally the same common. These types of cards take away from the complexity of Limited deck construction and make things too obvious.
