Last week, a dozen Camas girls’ cross country runners walked off the starting line together. This week, Battle Ground sophomore Elise Bierer did it alone. Before she started high school, her mom warned her this could happen, and Elise said she’d stand up for what was right. At districts, she gave up her shot at regionals to keep that promise. Her mom: “I’m super proud.” Girls shouldn’t have to give up their seasons to be heard.
WATCH: A Washington high school runner walks away from a chance to advance to regionals, then breaks down in tears as her mother rushes to embrace her. Battle Ground High School sophomore Elise Bierer steps off the starting line at a district cross-country meet, refusing to compete against a transgender athlete who began the year competing against boys. Bierer, one of her team’s fastest female runners, previously told her mother she would not race against a transgender athlete if faced with that situation. The decision brings her cross-country season to an emotional end. | @Outkick More on the decision Bierer made before race day and how her family is responding: foxnews.com/outkick-sports/w…

Elise Bierer is the real winner But why do adults put her in that impossible position?
Elise Bierer of Battle Ground High (WA) walked off the starting line to protest running against a biological boy in a district cross country meet Wednesday. The choice ended her season. My column on the sophomore who broke down into tears after taking a stance. foxnews.com/outkick-sports/w…

This is awesome to see
POWERFUL MOMENT: Vice President JD Vance just led an entire Nebraska crowd in the Lord’s Prayer after a medical emergency in the middle of his speech. As medical personnel rushed to assist an attendee, Vance paused his remarks and invited the crowd to join him in prayer. The Vice President turned to his faith, recalling how the Lord taught us to pray in moments like these. Thousands gathered in prayer as they waited for news about the person receiving medical attention. A powerful display of faith and compassion, @JDVance

All of these athletes are so detached from the real world. They enjoy that luxury because our military provides the safety, security and prosperity that make it possible.
Athletes need to stop disrespecting the National Anthem... From kneeling, to Caleb Williams wandering around the sidelines, to WNBA teams fleeing the court in protest, & now LeBron is practicing golf swings, these people are a disgrace. It's not hard to stand for 1 min. in honor & respect for our nation & it's servicemen and women. They all come across as a bunch of entitled, spoiled, rich brats.

Remember when the final four polls in the Michigan Senate Democratic primary showed @AbdulElSayed up by 14, 15, 10 and 16 points? He won by just 1.0 point. Most of those polls were off by double digits. That's because polls don't decide elections. Voters do. Read more: dailycitizen.focusonthefamil…
