Poor Daniel

The tension deepens in Code Blue: Bloodline. Every question brings Jessica closer to a secret Daniel desperately wants to keep buried.

I changed the title from Memories to Disturbing — and it fits the film so much better.
This new Weird Art Films piece slips from memory into nightmare: a rainy diner, melting flowers, elongated dancers, a giant rubber duck, warped camera perspectives, and finally… a sleeping cat.
I wanted the film to feel beautiful, unsettling, absurd, and strangely tender all at once. The title sequence just came together, and I’m getting ready to add Disturbing to @RadTV__ .
I'll add the link in the comments.
Creating the book cover for A Scattering of Sapphires became much more than a design project for me.
Jeanne Belisle Lombardo invited me to help bring the poetry of her client, Lucille Murphy, into a visual world. At 93 years old, Lucille Murphy is publishing her first collection of poetry—a lifetime of emotion, faith, memory, and lived experience gathered into one beautiful book.
As I read Lucille’s poems, I was struck by the depth of emotion, imagery, faith, and lived experience within them.
Her poem Empty Space, written about the loss of her husband, stayed with me. It made me think about the women of Lucille’s generation who were often expected to shape their lives around the wishes and identities of their husbands. After his death, Lucille’s sense of lost identity felt almost traumatic. Through the poem, I could feel her grief, but I also began to understand her more fully as a woman and as a person.
Other poems carry beautiful spiritual undertones and reveal her deep devotion to the Catholic faith. Together, the collection offered a rich emotional and visual language for the cover.
AI became part of my design-development process, beginning with a series of mood boards exploring how the tone, imagery, and stories within Lucille’s poetry might translate visually. We considered color, atmosphere, symbolism, emotional resonance, and typography. Once the mood-board direction was selected, I developed a series of book-cover concepts, which were reviewed, refined, and ultimately narrowed to the final cover.
It has been such a pleasure working with Jeanne throughout the creative development of A Scattering of Sapphires. The book is also the first title published under Jeanne’s new imprint, Long Beard Publishing, for which I had the opportunity to create the logo and visual identity.
For anyone who loves poetry filled with emotion, spirituality, memory, and beautifully observed moments, Lucille Murphy’s A Scattering of Sapphires is a meaningful collection to discover.

I started writing the Laundrygate Chronicles in 2016.
Strange Stories About the Future came out in 2020.
The Verse followed in 2025.
While I was writing, I was watching AI come into being. I knew it was coming—I’d written about it years earlier—but knowing something intellectually and living through it are very different experiences.
