Announcement time!
Stoked to share that my new series, Unfinished Past, is releasing with @SuperRare on October 15.
Unfinished Past is a series of 150 participatory, AI-generated artworks that evolve over a period of 7 years.
How each piece evolves depends on its owner.

Unfinished Past by Dalos launched on SuperRare last week: 150 AI works that change over seven years, depending on whether each collector chooses to remember or let go. Collecting as an ongoing commitment, not a single moment.
Today I want to highlight one piece I'm planning to "forget" and never interact with throughout the 7-year duration of this series.
It is nothing new to state that (the lack of proper) security in Mexico has been a huge issue for many years now. Actually, as long as I can remember, it's been one, if not THE, largest perceived problem for people who live here.
However, I had never experienced anything extreme (outside of the regular assaults and robberies that unfortunately I believe every Mexican has experienced at least once) in my life. At least until recently.
This piece was inspired by a shooting that my wife, my friends, and I experienced last year.
During a night out at a bar, probably still before midnight, we were having drinks, chatting and singing to 00s Spanish pop out of our lungs.
All of a sudden, multiple loud bangs echoed back and forth at the place. As we are taught from an early age, every single person at the bar threw themselves to the floor trying to become one with the tile surface. I clearly remember looking around (even with an obstructed view due to my face being basically at the ground), and feeling trapped beneath the underside of the metal table above me, boxed in among a sea of feet, hands and contorted bodies.
"Where is the shooting coming from? How's my wife doing? Is this over? What the hell should we do now to be safe?"
Crawling as fast and as low as we could, my group and I rushed to the kitchen at the back of the bar, where dozens of humans were packed like sardines in a 12x12 ft space.
It wasn't until we heard the sirens and saw the police that we rushed outside to grab the keys of our cars and to shakily drive back home after such an awful event.
Definitely one of my worst recent memories, and one I wish I could forget for obvious reasons.
At least now I get to do so symbolically.
Thank you for reading.
Unfinished Past #7
As you can imagine, several of the pieces from Unfinished Past are inspired by my own memories, and naturally a lot of them carry deep personal and emotional meaning for me.
That is why I'm reserving some specific artworks for my own vault, for me to decide whether to remember or to forget them.
Today I want to highlight one piece I'm planning to keep remembering throughout the 7-year duration of this series.
This piece was inspired by my 6th birthday, the first meaningful birthday I remember in my life. An avid reader in my early days, the whole party was themed around Harry Potter, my favorite book series at the time, and of course I came dressed as a wizard.
All of my friends and even my closest cousin came to celebrate, which was pretty meaningful for me, as I had only been attending that school for a couple of months, and my cousin lived four hours away from where I lived. Didn’t even consider it when I was a kid, but in retrospect it was significant.
Something I remember vividly is the home where it took place, which in my mind is the home I grew up in, even if I was there only for four years. The garage opened directly onto a garden that had a massive, god-knows-how-many-years-old tree, with flowers and plants climbing up the walls.
My mother prepared a lot of things herself for the party, and even sewed a Gryffindor patch onto my Hogwarts cloak. She has always been "extra" for those types of things, and it's something I'm deeply grateful for.
The afternoon was filled with laughter, joy and even ended with a Quidditch match (yes, with broomsticks and goal hoops of course).
So yeah, this memory holds a very special place in my heart, and even if I know that with time it will keep altering some details (some of this is probably already wrong lol), the feeling of love will never go away.
Thank you for reading.
Unfinished Past #94
A collection that evolves with the collector.
Unfinished Past by @Dalos , inspired by real memories.
Once a year, a short question appears (answered on-chain). Respond, and the piece shifts like a real memory. Do nothing, and it fades.
That choice shapes the work over time.
More in the post I quoted.
