1 - Layman's science today: CO₂ absorbs & reemits infrared radiation. This is a testable hypothesis & could be falsified. It was demonstrated true in the mid-19th century by Tyndall & has never ever been disproven. The physical properties of CO₂ are immutable. #ClimateBrawl

He just told his cult that he knows they’re paying more for gas, but the oil companies are making “a lot of freaking money.”
He meant HE is.
HE is making a lot of freaking money.
And WE are all paying for it.
FIRST ON CBS: As President Trump boasts about how much money the U.S. oil and gas industry is making from the war with Iran, the president's personal holdings in oil and gas are now worth between $22.5 million and $81.6 million, compared with $12.6 million to $46 million at the end of 2025, according to a new report by Democrats on the Congressional Joint Economic Committee. cbsn.ws/47IN9un

🚨Meet Lloyd Culver Jr., a Missouri MAGA man who portrayed drag queens as a threat to children and wants Bible readings in schools.
Culver, of Rich Hill, now faces sodomy and kidnapping charges in Bates County after a complaint accused him of restraining and sexually assaulting a victim around October 14. The age of the victim has not been released.
He’s being held at the Bates County Jail on a $50,000 cash-only bond and was set for arraignment the morning after local news reported the case.
His Facebook activity shows a man obsessed with virtue signaling his conservative Christian morals, a plethora of AI-generated posts and fake news, plus an anti-transgender post declaring himself on the “side that believes in God, has the most guns, and knows which restroom to use.”
It’s always the MAGA men pointing fingers at others.

Truly a racist pathetic embarrassment of a son-in-law to his brown Indian immigrant in-laws.

UPDATE: The controversial hepatitis B vaccine trial backed by RFK Jr. will NOT proceed.
Guinea-Bissau has formally rejected the proposed U.S.-funded study involving 14,000 newborns, following months of international criticism over its scientific justification and ethical implications.
The trial would have randomly assigned half the infants to receive the hepatitis B vaccine at birth, while the remaining half would receive it at six weeks, consistent with the country’s existing vaccination schedule.
The investigators wanted to examine possible “nonspecific effects” of vaccination, including health outcomes unrelated to hepatitis B infection.
But there was a fundamental ethical problem.
We already know that administering hepatitis B vaccine shortly after birth substantially reduces mother-to-child transmission. The WHO estimates that the birth dose prevents 70–95% of these infections. And approximately 90% of infants infected around birth develop chronic hepatitis B, placing them at lifelong risk of cirrhosis and liver cancer.
The researchers argued that no child would receive less than the existing national standard of care. That distinction matters. But the WHO countered that resource constraints do not justify withholding a proven preventive intervention in a research experiment, particularly without a compelling scientific rationale.
On October 16, Guinea-Bissau’s government formally rejected the study. Researchers subsequently confirmed that it would not proceed. No children had been enrolled.
This is about something larger than RFK Jr. or any particular vaccine.
Scientific curiosity is essential. Investigating unexpected effects of medical interventions is legitimate. But research involving human participants must satisfy ethical standards that extend beyond whether an interesting question remains unanswered.
The burden is on investigators to demonstrate that a study’s scientific value justifies its risks—not on vulnerable participants to bear those risks simply because researchers want answers.
That principle deserves defending, regardless of who funds the research.

“The government is actually the largest purchaser of food in this country.”
“Billions of dollars every year.”
And “half of that money is going to just 25 corporations.”
Farm Action President Angela Huffman says a “handful of corporations” have a “stranglehold… on that entire food supply chain.”
That taxpayer money could create “great, dependable markets for independent farmers.”
But that’s not what’s happening.
“The USDA is focused on who can provide the largest volume at the cheapest price.”
“It needs to be more values-based.”
We support redirecting that money to regenerative farmers, family farms, and strengthening local and regional supply chains.
“That’s a huge priority for us.”

AMAZING INVENTION BY A 16-YEAR-OLD STUDENT!
Angela Karim Hernandez Venegas, a Mexican student at CETis 78 in Altamira, has invented “Vortex Tech, a sound-based fire extinguisher that puts out small flames using low-frequency sound waves (around 30 Hz), without water or chemicals.
The device uses a battery, an amplifier, and sound waves to generate airflow that disrupts combustion. It has demonstrated the ability to extinguish small fires within seconds.
She won the gold medal at the ISIF 2026 International Science and Invention Fair in Indonesia, competing against projects from dozens of countries.

I would appear that RFKJr paid absolutely no attention in any level of his educational experience, and that he lacks basic curiosity about the world. He's so unfit for office that it's nauseating.
My late colleague and brilliant co U.S. Science Envoy with me in the Obama Admin the @Caltech Nobel Laureate in Chemistry Ahmed Zewail would disagree. God rest his soul he didn’t have to endure this, and of course RFK Jr forgets that it was the Arab scientists of the Middle Ages who kept Aristotle, Hippocrates, Galen alive to hand it down in the Renaissance. Damning new report from @HouseJudiciary that details how Trump may have been a co-conspirator in Jeffrey Epstein’s conspiracy to traffic and abuse young women in the 1990s, including five women who directly accuse Trump of rape or sexual assault in Epstein’s close company or presence.
I join my Judiciary colleagues in calling for the appointment of an independent special counsel who can immediately investigate and prosecute Epstein’s co-conspirators, and am demanding the federal government fully cooperate with state and foreign prosecutors requesting evidence. Survivors deserve justice NOW.
