I don't know what is worse, the dermestid damage or the lack of collection data...
Update, I've reconsolodated all the salvageable specimens and now these 50 year old cases are airing out in the sun

Non-invert post.
So my other half writes notes when she pumps milk for our daughter, which helps with morale during sleepless nights/ long days etc
They usually have something on like 'first smile' or 'day out with gramps'.

Most small mammals, weasels and stoats all in decline. Our new research points to a major problem in British ecosystems. You REALLY don't want to lose the tiny cogs that make everything else function.(c)J Phillips @mammalsociety @UK_CEH @SussexUni sciencedirect.com/science/ar…

The @The_RHS Cellar Slug Hunt officially closed on 1st November 2021, and we're delighted to say we smashed our target of 1000 records! 🏆🥳🎉 A HUGE thanks to everyone who has sent in records over the past 2.5+ years. We're looking forwards to sharing results when ready!
Haven't been able to get out for a while and took a leaf out of @martinfowlie 's book last week and sieved the compost heap (I set up only to catch beetles btw). Safe to say I wasn't let down!
Now to relax and ID

To identify our specimens we've been looking at slime colour, placement of the breathing poor and texture (along with other features). This has all been done under the guidance of the RHS's resident slug wrangler, Imogen Cavadino 👏
