FILM ROOM: Caleb Malhotra represents the best bet to be an impact centre at the NHL level in this draft. A complete player with separating vision, daring handling, defensive work rate, & projectable physicality, he could anchor a franchise. #NHLDraft 🔗:eliteprospects.com/news/2026…

Caleb Malhotra (#Canucks) goes low-high through the seam as he hits the deck and sets up Charlie Trethewey (PIT) for the 1-0 BU goal That's the first assist of Malhotra's college career, and it's not too shabby

Scouting @TCAmericans vs PG tonight and tomorrow for @eliteprospects. First WHL game for top prospect Kenzo Gibson. (EP 12th ranked player) Ben Oliverio (‘10), Bylycia (09L), Bouchard, McKamey, Laing, Huk, Martinson, and potentially Peterson are taking part.

Despite early production issues, #Canucks Caleb Malhotra has looked dangerous in his minutes across his first handful of NCAA games. He's creating advantages with his hands, getting looks as a pass supporter, and finding ways to get inside.

There are turnover issues and overcomplication of puck touches, but that was the case in the OHL as well. There's a balance between finding opportunities to flex tools versus the simpler play that he will have to find. As for his finishing, luck has been a factor, IMO.

There’s a tonne of open space for Novotný to get inside here, but he’s been operating at a pace that OHL defenders are struggling to match. He’s showing a bit of everything, from a power game, to dynamic skill.

Aiden Kelly (@BulldogsOHL & 2028 NHL Draft) has been electric in his four OHL games. He's a dynamic advantage creator with high-end vision and strong contact skills. He's been the Bulldogs' best player at only 16 years old.

It's super early, but Buium looks to have taken the step Vancouver needed him to make over the offseason. He looks more and more like the player who dominated the NCAA.
