1/3 On July 4, 1976 my grandfather Edward C. Brown rigged the a striker for the bell on the lawn of Long Branch High School (NJ) where he worked. At noon that bicentennial day he pulled the cord and rang the bell, then did so once every minute for the next 200 minutes.
2/3 At first it was just him, me, and a few family members who rang the bell, but people began to walk up from nearby houses, runners stopped, and people parked their cars as they heard the bell peal.
Great insights on business and leadership from @BKRBusinessMin in his new book. It is sharp and a great read.

How much of a vindication of the expanded FBS Championship bracket is it that the top four seeds were all eliminated in the QFs? Wild! With Texas State, Penn State, Notre Dame, and Ohio State in the semis, hard to say who's favorite. Maybe Texas?
