My boyfriend insists on splitting every restaurant bill equally, even though he orders almost twice as much as I do. My name is Chloe, and I've been dating Marcus for about seven months. We both have jobs, and when we first started dating, we agreed to split most expenses equally. I thought it was fair, and I never had a problem with it. Things started bothering me when we went out to eat. Marcus would order an appetizer, a large meal, two or three drinks, and dessert. I'd usually order one meal and water. When the bill arrived, he'd immediately suggest splitting it down the middle. Last Saturday, we went to a restaurant downtown. My meal cost $32, while his food and drinks came to $78 before tax and tip. The total was $132. Marcus picked up the receipt, glanced at it, and said, "So, that's $66 each." I stared at him for a moment. "Wait, my food was only $32. Why am I paying $66?" He looked confused. "Because we're splitting the bill." "But you ordered more than twice what I did." He sighed and put his phone on the table. "Chloe, we're a couple. It's not that serious." I paid my share because I didn't want to argue in public, but the entire drive home, I kept thinking about what had happened. It wasn't about being unable to afford the money. It was about being expected to pay for things I hadn't ordered simply because he wanted to eat more.

The hardest part of OCD recovery is usually not the exposure itself. It’s accepting that the temporary spike in anxiety is the mechanism that eventually lowers the baseline, not a sign that something has gone wrong.

Some 🇳🇬 soldiers has encountered spirits of people who died untimely deaths. 👻 Whether you believe in ghosts or not, some experiences leave a lasting impression on those who witness them. In places where people died suddenly or under tragic circumstances, soldiers sometimes report encounters they cannot easily explain. Have you ever experienced something you couldn't explain? 👀👻

Landlord: Your rent is going up by $250 next month. I gave you plenty of notice. Me: Mr. Harris, my paycheck hasn't increased in two years. Why that much? Landlord: Property taxes, insurance, repairs. I'm not running a charity. Me: The kitchen ceiling has leaked since February. I've sent you six messages. Landlord: And I've been meaning to fix it. Me: But you found time to increase my rent? He folded his arms. Landlord: If you don't like it, find somewhere cheaper. I was a single mother working at a dental office. Moving meant deposits, truck rental, and explaining to my eight-year-old why we had to leave the only apartment he remembered. I agreed to the increase, although I could barely afford it.

My friend called me a selfish b!tch over my child-free wedding rule My fiancé (35M) and I (28F) are getting married next May. We sent out invitations three weeks ago, clearly stating that our wedding would be child-free. We’re planning drinking games and adult activities, and we both want a relaxed celebration without children running around. One of my friends, Jessica, has two children under seven. After receiving her invitation, she sent me a long message saying I knew she was struggling financially and couldn’t afford a babysitter. She said my rule meant she couldn’t attend. I replied that I understood her situation and would miss her if she couldn’t make it. I even suggested her husband could stay home with the children since we weren’t particularly close to him.
