Congratulations to Lynne Pinches who has won a Bronze medal representing England at her second international call-up – the 2026 Blackball Pool World Championships. It’s been quite a journey for Lynne who, in November 2023, boycotted the Women’s Champions of Champions Final after being drawn against a male in the female category. Lynne described the anguish of walking away from the sport she loves at the WRN Conference in July this year (link in the next post). Since then, Lynne has been selected to represent England at the Commonwealth Cue Sports Championships in India earlier this month and this week she is a World Championships Bronze Medallist. “For my first World Championships I couldn’t be happier,” said Lynne. “Playing amongst the best in the world and my son getting gold was such an emotional moment.” The good kind of emotional moment! Well done to Lynne for persevering through the dark times and getting to the top table! We look forward to seeing many more successes. 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼
What a week its been!! 2 medals to come. My son & his teammate won the gold medal in the under 15s doubles 🏆 & I have taken the bronze medal in the ladies singles at the World Championships in Heathrow. Super proud Mama 🥰 👏

Bullshit. Disabled men have no more 'right to sex' than anyone else. "It is often tricky to talk about the sexuality of people with disabilities". No it isn't. It's no more "tricky" than it is for anyone else. This idea is trotted out over and over again in the UK; that disabled men should be given sex as part of their care needs. It's often suggested that this should be paid for by the state. It makes me furious. Disabled men have no more 'right to sex' than anyone else and I seriously resent anyone saying we do.

Happy 35th Birthday HTML tags! On October 29, 1991, the internet pioneer, Tim Berners-Lee, published a document entitled HTML Tags. The document contained a description of the first 18 HTML tags: <title>, <nextid>, <a>, <isindex>, <plaintext>, <listing>, <p>, <h1>…, <address>, <hp1>…, <dl>, <dt>, <dd>, <ul>, <li>,<menu> and <dir>.

I grew up in Scotland. There were no black children in my school. There were no black families in the area where I lived. When I left school and started work, there were no black people in any of my places of employment. I did not know a single black person. This is not a racist post. I am simply stating the truth. Scotland was almost entirely white until relatively recently.
"Black History is Scottish History" Seriously... fuck off

🚨 LONG TERM PROJECT PAYS OFF! ILLEGAL MIGRANT BOAT LAUNCH FILMED FROM BELGIUM! An incredibly tough and challenging project that finally paid off and after reports of weapons also carried some risk Full, unedited 8-minute video. At around 3am this morning, I filmed a migrant boat launching from a Belgian beach, just across the French border, heading towards the UK. Belgian authorities were present and appeared to watch as the boat departed. I’ve spent months documenting crossings from France, but this is the first time I’ve captured a launch from Belgium. As far as I’m aware, this could be the first time such a launch has been caught on camera. I’m sharing the full footage so people can see exactly what happened and draw their own conclusions.

Pretty sure this is Jane or are they all thread 1/26547864? No Jane isn’t trying to do any of that. People are capable of looking at context and using the same trans activist rhetoric “look what is coming for you” = you’ll be next! When these lot are obsessed with “freedom” of Palestine (which would set the rights of all women and gay people in the territory back to the Stone Age) while apparently utterly oblivious to the *proximate and very real* threat of radical (sorry it’s not. It’s ultra conservative) Islam, is insanity. The “far right” are what you pander to. The ultra conservative Islamic groups are far right. You wake up.

The brass neck of grandstanding as a champion of women and girls when you did NOTHING until the Supreme Court judgement forced your hand. You weren’t leading, you were dragged kicking and screaming by the law. Don’t mistake compliance for conviction.
The time for talk has long passed. This government is putting its money where its mouth is when it comes to supporting women and girls. We'll back practical action to confine misogyny to the history books - in public services, workplaces, and online. theguardian.com/society/2026…

🚨 Angela Rayner is expected to appoint an “Islamophobia tsar” by the end of this week, to help enforce the Government’s “anti-Muslim hostility” definition — Islamophobia by another name. As the Free Speech Union warned from the outset, the definition has been used to silence people who criticise, debate or mock Islam. Those targeted include politicians such as Shadow Justice Secretary @NJ_Timothy, @RupertLowe10 and Reform UK’s @RobertJenrick, as well as private citizens. It is a state-approved Islamic blasphemy code. Earlier this year, FSU Policy and Research Director @DavidRoseUK exposed troubling connections between Islamist organisations and all five individuals the Government hand-picked to sit on the working group that drafted the definition. Now the Government is refusing to say which organisations took part in the consultation that shaped it. @NJ_Timothy submitted a Freedom of Information request and was initially told that the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government had deleted every submission — in apparent breach of the Government’s own data policy. The Department later admitted that it does hold the responses, but it still refuses to say which organisations or individuals took part and influenced the definition. What is the Government covering up? Did Islamists help to create a state-approved blasphemy code? @AngelaRayner has serious questions to answer. On Tuesday, the Prime Minister met Muslim community leaders in Downing Street and told them: “We want to counter any form of hatred, discrimination, Islamophobia, wherever we find it.” Sitting next to him was Akeela Ahmed, one of the five members of the working group. In 2018, she called for the Islamophobia definition published by the All-Party Parliamentary Group on British Muslims to have “legal power” so that it could be “implemented by the government and the police”. She later told MPs that Islamophobia “cannot simply be reduced to or restricted to hate crime”, complaining that a columnist could write about a “Muslim problem” without it being treated as Islamophobia, “or simply being seen as free speech”. She also wanted the definition to cover “microaggressions during school runs”. All of this considered, there is little reason to hope that whoever becomes tsar will be good news for free speech. Among the frontrunners is Sayeeda Warsi, the former Conservative Party co-chairman and now a crossbench peer. She has refused to distance herself from extremists, claiming that doing so would be “playing by the rules set by the racists”, and has said that the term “Islamist” is “often a fig leaf used by Islamophobes to disguise their bigotry”. The FSU has launched a legal challenge to stop this definition. Parliament abolished the blasphemy laws in 2008; we will not allow a new one to return under a new name. Help us stop an Islamic blasphemy law in Britain 👇
The name of the government's highly-controversial 'special representative' to oversee its equally controversial definition of 'anti-Muslim hostility' will be announced this week, ministers told Muslim groups at Downing Street yesterday. I understand that the shortlist of 12 includes, though is not limited to: Some of these names have, to say the least, questions over them. Asim, for instance, was sacked as an adviser to the last government after calling for a film about the Prophet Mohammed's daughter to be banned. And the definition itself, as I and others have previously argued, is deeply sinister. In the hands of some of these people, it could be weaponised to do really serious harm. ✍️ Andrew Gilligan Article | spectator.com/article/sayeed… | @mragilligan

EXCLUSIVE: MIGRANT BOAT LAUNCHES FROM BELGIUM AS AUTHORITIES STAND AND WATCH 29th October 2026 | Belgian-French border | Approx. 3:00 AM local time What I believe could be the first ever footage of an illegal migrant boat launching from a Belgian beach, just across the border from France. But the real story isn’t the boat. It’s the Belgian authorities standing there watching it happen. No visible intervention. No attempt to stop the launch. Different country. Same scenes I’ve witnessed repeatedly in France. Two countries, one border, and the same question: what exactly are the authorities doing to stop these boats?

Reverse the roles. A Scot arrives in Ghana and then, 6 years later she starts posing in Kente cloth at a "cultural leadership" event established by other Europeans to celebrate White excellence in Africa during White History Month. When the natives complain or ask them to show a little bit more respect they are called racists and the civic infrastructure of Ghana mines these responces as proof that Africans are hateful bigots who need more state sponsored events to teach them they don't really exist and their home now belongs to the New Ghanaians. That because their nation is made up of 100 distinct ethnic groups, they must accept Scots and Danes and Aussies as their brothers. That because there are 4 million migrants in their global diaspora, they must accept infinity immigration from culturally and ethnically distant lands.
