In the middle of downtown Chicago, outside the federal courthouse, we gathered to show how and why we are holding the line for girls’ civil rights.
“GIRLS HAVE CIVIL RIGHTS. DEFEND THEM.”
Title IX was written to protect biological females in education, sports, and private spaces. Not to erase them.
While ideology in Illinois keeps pushing boys into girls’ locker rooms, bathrooms, and teams, parents are showing up, speaking out, and suing for equal protection under federal law.
Awake Illinois, attorney @AjayGuptaTweets & Illinois families for Title IX, aren’t asking for special treatment.
We’re demanding the law be enforced.
This is what grassroots looks like in a deep-blue state that is waking up.
Girls’ rights are not up for debate.
Biology is not bigotry.
We will win this for a generation of Illinois girls!

A grassroots group wants Aurora voters to decide whether the city should create a process allowing residents to recall a sitting mayor or alderman-at-large. fox32chicago.com/news/aurora…
“This is what effective local engagement looks like: turning principle into results, uniting residents around the idea that government serves the people, and delivering real tools for accountability.” I could literally cry after reading that! Thank you Awake!!! #bethechange
Big win for Aurora accountability!
Aurora residents-backed by strong bi-partisan grassroots organizing and leaders like Danny Souri-just submitted petitions with just under 9,000 signatures to put two critical recall referendum questions on the November ballot.
That’s more than double the 4,000 needed and well above the 7,000 goal. As Souri put it: "We got together and signed this petition under the premise that we as the people bestow upon the government their ability to govern, not the other way around."
If approved by voters, these measures would finally give Aurora the power to recall a sitting mayor or at-large alderman before the end of their term-restoring real checks and balances so the people, not just politicians, hold the reins.
There have been increasing concerns with Mayor John Laesch and his ability to represent Aurora citizens dutifully amid allegations of his views against lawful immigration enforcement, area leaders, and possible affiliation with Democrat Socialists of America.
This is what effective local engagement looks like: turning principle into results, uniting residents around the idea that government serves the people, and delivering real tools for accountability.
Next step: signature verification, then the fight to pass it on the November 3rd ballot.
Leadership! 🇺🇸

Confronting seditious Mayor, John Laesch tonight at the Aurora Illinois City Council meeting. This scumbag follows ICE around, trying to obstruct their operations and dox their families. To the US Justice department, he and every other sanctuary supporting politician should be in prison.
God Bless #ICE
