For clarification,Trump can’t just rename anything he wants in GNIS. Federal geographic names are handled through the US Board on Geographic Names and there is an established process. Google also isn’t required to use GNIS labels. They control their own products and how names appear on their platforms. Stop making excuses for a spineless corporation.

In 1961, 90% of Canadian’s income went to taxes & necessities.
In 2014, that number was 78.3%.
In 2025, that number was 77.3%.
Taxes as a % of income have been stable for the last 5 decades while cost of necessities has declined.
But you’d never know that from this article.
