The Beatles were four ingredients of a love potion, and they always needed a fifth person to stir it and serve it up, like a Brian Epstein or a George Martin. Peter Jackson is the magic wand this time around. His first music video for the last Beatles collaboration is high art. – at Austin, TX

As a lifelong @astros fan, I’m thrilled for former Astros catcher Bruce Bochy, who’s going to his 5th World Series as a manager. I saw Bochy win one at the Astrodome in 1979 with a walk-off single vs the Reds, still the greatest ballgame I ever attended. Congrats and Go Rangers!!

Today the ATX music community bid a loving farewell to the great Brad Houser. It was a sad event, but sniffles and sobs rapidly gave way to cathartic laughter. Brad would’ve had it that way. It was a joy to be with so many people whom he touched throughout his life and career. – at Austin, TX

Not many have heard of Biff Rose, but he had tons of admirers in the music world from Harry Nilsson to David Bowie and all points in between. I was lucky enough to spend time with him in 2001 and thank him for his influence. Rest In Piano Biff, 1937-2023. youtu.be/A9SMfF8fNI0

Rarely do I go to a restaurant and never want to leave. I’ve been eating at Kenny & Ziggy’s for years, but the new location just up the street raises the bar. Everything about this place is immaculate!
