The analysis behind the ranking of Darius Wabbington, No. 9 in the SC Next 100, who is heading to Indiana. Wabbington pairs high-level scoring and playmaking with the size of a power forward. He’s an ideal point forward, able to score in the paint or face up. As a ball-screen player, he offers three options: roll to the rim, stop for a short-roll playmaking opportunity, or pop out beyond the arc. He can also extend a possession by initiating a dribble handoff. His greatest strength is his passing and playmaking. He understands how to keep the ball moving, sustain the flow of an offense, and find others. As his conditioning improves, his athleticism will develop as well. IU loading up for 2027.
