You know how people will tease each other and put each other down and everyone laughs? Yeah. Do NOT join in that. There are EXTREMELY precise (and arbitrary) rules governing what is deemed prosocial, and you will easily violate them. They will say things to each other that, to you, sound absolutely cruel, yet everyone will laugh. You will say something clearly silly and absurd that could never be taken seriously, and you will make an enemy for life who feels completely morally justified not only in hating you, but in causing you any amount of grief they can.
And if you’re really unlucky, the person you just insulted will be some dark-triad type who was leading the whole activity.

According to Reuters, the 70-year-old secured 12 votes in favor and only 3 against in the latest Security Council straw poll. She has topped seven of the eight informal ballots so far.
If elected, she would be the first woman and the first Jewish person to lead the UN. A Holocaust survivor’s daughter, she studied at Hebrew University, has family in Israel (including IDF combat soldiers), and publicly condemned the October 7 atrocities while calling for the hostages’ release.
