“Remaining life expectancy of a 10-year-old diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 2021 ranged from a mean of 13 years in low-income countries to 65 years in high-income countries.” This stat is mind blowing thelancet.com/journals/landi…

I gotta stop buying bananas as low snacks. They just don’t work as quickly as a neon blue juice box lol

Did this a lot while pregnant lol
Daughter: Mom, what are you doing? Me: I’m running inside the house to lower my blood sugar. 😬 Can anyone relate? #diabetes #gbdoc #dsma #dedoc

The difference in my sleep quality when my blood sugar is 140ish vs 100ish is crazy. The older I get the more intense this difference is too🤔

Shout out to diabetes camp & jdrf walks💕 seeing other kids with it helped a lot, however, I think seeing/meeting older people years into the t1d life helped even more.

Dexcom stopping my music, pinging my Apple Watch every 5 minutes during something important and/or waking up my sleeping baby to tell me I’m 183 is my diabetes theme of 2023

Last night I went low three (!) times. By the end of it I had gone through two granola bars, glucose tabs, fruit snacks, and a glass of milk. Same basal rate I’ve had for over a year and I didn’t exercise before bed. Diabetes math looks something like 2 + 2 = 285 sometimes lol
