So the baby normally only sleeps for 30 mins max - we're now past an hour. I've taken the Halloween decs down, organised them and packed them away, put the laundry on, tidied+cleaned+hoovered the living room, wiped the bathroom, tidied the kitchen, sorted her bottles.....
Tiny human had vaccines today. Not got a fever per se but warmer than usual, had a 40 min nap this afternoon woke for a bottle then fell asleep on me for 2 hours. Then woke for a bit rather unhappy and popped her down to bed. Poor baba!
Update: I managed to cook and eat the whole dinner without the baby waking up! Result!
(...and yes the steak was epic!)
Had to settle the baby to sleep 3 times in the last 30 mins. I have steak for dinner - you best believe I'm sat here staring at the monitor for 15 mins to check she's fully down before I start cooking!
Well if anything has made me even more determined to give my little one a life with more fun, adventure and play and as few screens as I can, it was watching Toy Story 5! And yes I cried when Jessie realised Emily had named her daughter after her!
Ahhh the life of a foster carer. Evening spent doing Foster Logs, Health Records and paperwork for upcoming reviews!
So as a rule when tiny human goes down to sleep at night, she stays down until she wants a bottle. Last 2 nights woken up 40mins-1hour into sleep, really upset and needed lots of cuddles. She's nearly 4 months - I'm bracing myself for the regression!
So for the last 5/6 weeks - my little one's 4 or 5 naps a day have only been able to be on the move- in the pram or car or she could not go down. She's on her 3rd nap today in her crib. Feel like I have my life back 🤣
When I heard about Noah going missing yesterday and learnt he had ASD my first thought was about bodies of water nearby. Heartbreaking to see that's where he was found. Every parent's worst nightmare! 💔
My very tired, very sad baby girl is down to sleep. She's such a content, happy little thing usually that seeing her so sad breaks my heart a little. Standard side effects for vaccines but still hard to see.
Currently coming up on 2 hours on the sofa nap trapped with the baby - she had vaccinations today. Dying for a wee but she never contact naps so I'm taking full advantage - bless her!
So in my 38 years of life I have never been stung by a wasp until this week. Been stung by 2 of the fuckers in the space of 4 days, in different locations, one on the leg, one on the finger today, both while out with my little one! Pray tell what insect god have I pissed off?
How Saturday nights have changed, baby in bed by 7:20pm, my evening has then been making dinner, hoovering the lounge, sorting the washing, cleaning the bathroom, tidying the house, hoovering and mopping the kitchen floor! Absolute wild part over here 😂😂
Rocking my little one to sleep tonight and singing her lullabys and she just looks up at me, stares at me and just smiles up at me as I sing to her. A memory that will imprint on my heart forever 🩷
Got stung by a bastard wasp for the first time ever today while out walking the baby. Fuming! Luckily was just down the road from my brother's house so could pop in and check the damage. Hurt like a bitch! Literally just walking along and little shit just came and stung my leg!
Baby went down at 7:30pm - an evening of leisure??
Nope- foster carer logs, foster carer report (10 page doc), mileage claims and evidence, sorting receipts and getting prepped for Family Time tomorrow! 🤪💤💤😴
I mean it worries me that this is the ignorance out there. While counselling/therapy absolutely helps with many things - it does not treat either condition in singularity!
Replying to @LBC
Benefits system should be for people that really need it, not spongers I’ve seen people in wheelchairs working, you shouldn’t be getting paid because you have adhd or bipolar you should be given counselling instead that hopefully will get you into work
