Major cheat code for life: Always assume things will work out, then do the work to make it true. It’s a mindset of active optimism. Earned faith. It creates a quiet confidence that allows you to tolerate the uncertainty of life better than anything else.
Surround yourself with beautiful things that inspires you to reach for more. Then sweat the little details with the same zest. Not just because it makes for better products, but because it makes for a better you. Be someone who cares. About aesthetics, competence, all of it.

“When you go from consumer to B2B, the number one mega-challenge that you must master is LTV:CAC.” - @travisk
"Yes, you can make that argument on consumer, but when you have a sales funnel that starts with 'I'm going to talk to customers, and I have to make LTV:CAC work' — versus 'My LTV:CAC is the App Store' — it's a whole different ballgame."
“LTV:CAC with a sales machine, especially if you go [after] small businesses, is life on hard mode. Anybody who’s crushed it on SMB, those guys are special individuals who've made that happen. Because life in the SMB B2B world is no joke."

This has been said a thousand times before, but allow me to add my own voice: the era of humans writing code is over. Disturbing for those of us who identify as SWEs, but no less true. That's not to say SWEs don't have work to do, but writing syntax directly is not it.

In almost every successful family, there was one person, somewhere along the way, whose hard work and thrift let him accumulate capital to pass along to his children & their children.
In doing so, he changed the trajectory of the generations that followed.
I call this person the Founder.
Here is ours, Morris Kurtzman, sitting outside one of his handful of little grocery stores in NYC that changed our trajectory.
If you started with advantages, venerate your Founder.
If you didn't, you have an opportunity many of us never had: To *become* the Founder.

Love still being at a stage where we see massive upside in the core product and our only job is staying fully focused on making @linear better for our ambitious customers.

Nothing upsets me more than poor decision-making meetings.
You only need 3 questions:
a) what information do we need to make the decision?
b) do we have the information?
c) what's the decision?
Be prepared with (a) and (b). The meeting's only concern is (c).
And using AWS without @MilkStrawAI is even more insane
