🚨 ANTHONY TAYLOR BREAKS SILENCE ON MIKEL ARTETA’S PENALTY COMMENTS 😳 🗣️ Anthony Taylor: “Arteta says he watched the incident 20 times and still cannot understand why the penalty was given. I respect his opinion, but perhaps he should spend the same amount of time analysing the way Arsenal played against Sunderland and how they play football generally. Every Arsenal match is becoming a war. Every challenge is a battle, every set piece is an opportunity to create chaos, every decision is contested, and every physical duel is treated like a matter of life and death. Yet when the game becomes uncomfortable for Arsenal, suddenly the referee is the problem. Managers cannot demand that officials allow intense, physical football when it benefits their team and then question the entire officiating system whenever a decision goes against them. I am not saying referees are perfect. We make mistakes, and VAR can make mistakes too. But saying you ‘cannot find an explanation’ for a decision does not automatically mean there was no explanation. Perhaps the Premier League should also start asking questions about Arsenal’s style of play. Football is supposed to be competitive, physical and intense, but it should not constantly feel like 22 players have entered a battlefield. Benn Arteta says he wants people talking about how beautiful the game is. I agree. But then perhaps Arsenal should start playing more football and spending less time turning every match into a war. And if one penalty can supposedly change the entire course of Arsenal’s season and potentially cost them the championship, maybe the bigger question is why a team with championship ambitions is allowing one refereeing decision to become the centre of the conversation. Raya Respect the officials. Accept that decisions will go for you and against you. And sometimes, instead of asking why the referee made a decision, ask why your team needed the game to become so complicated in the first place.” #SUNARS #bbclaurak #SundayYellow Blessed Sunday

At Ground Zero, after the last living person was pulled out, the search dogs stopped eating. So the police did something nobody had written down in any manual. They climbed into the rubble, lay down, and pretended to be alive. More than 300 dogs worked the World Trade Center site. They came from every corner of the country, on trucks and in cargo holds, with handlers who had been trained to do one thing. Find people who are still breathing under the ground. That is what a search and rescue dog is built for. Not bodies. Life. They are trained on live human scent. When they find it, they bark, they dig, they light up, and the handler rewards them, and the whole thing means something. The last living person recovered from Ground Zero was a woman named Genelle Guzman-McMillan. She had been buried for 27 hours. A dog found her. She was the last. After that, the dogs kept going out on twelve-hour shifts, across sixteen acres of smoldering steel, at temperatures that burned their paws, and they found nobody. Nobody. Day after day. The handlers noticed it first. The dogs were changing. Their tails were down. They were not eating. They would come off the pile and lie flat and not look at anyone. A veterinarian named Cindy Otto, who spent ten days there working night shifts to care for the animals, put it plainly. The dogs had been sent to find life, and every day they were finding the opposite. It was breaking them. An NYPD officer named Famiglietti described what happened next. They pulled everybody off the rubble. Then they asked for volunteers. The volunteers, police officers, went out into the debris and hid themselves. Under beams. In voids. Curled up in pockets of concrete. They were told to lie down like they were hurt. Then the handlers sent the dogs in. Picture that. A grown man with a badge, a man who had spent the last week pulling friends out of that same pile, lying down in it on purpose. Face down. Holding still. Waiting for a dog. And the dog comes over the top of the wreckage, and catches the scent, and barks, and digs, and finds a person who is warm and moving and alive. And the handler says good girl, good boy, and the whole team celebrates. They called them mock finds. They did it for the dogs. They did it so the dogs would remember what they were for. One of those dogs was a two-year-old golden retriever named Bretagne. She came from Texas with her handler, Denise Corliss. It was her first deployment. They worked ten days at Ground Zero. They found no survivors. But firefighters would come off the pile, stone-faced, not speaking, and see the dog, and something would break open in them. They would kneel down. They would put their face in her fur. One day a man walked up to Bretagne and started petting her. He told Corliss his best friend loved golden retrievers. Corliss asked where his friend was. The man pointed at the pile. "He's in there somewhere." He kept petting the dog. Bretagne went on to work Hurricane Katrina and Rita. She retired at 10. She was the last known surviving search dog of 9/11. On June 6, 2016, at age 16, she was carried into a veterinary office in Texas to be put to sleep. Outside, a dozen firefighters from her fire department stood in a line in their dress uniforms, in the heat, and saluted as she went past. They draped her in an American flag on the way out. Three hundred dogs went into that pile looking for the living. They found one. And when they could not find any more, the men they worked beside laid down in the rubble and let themselves be found, so the dogs would not lose heart. That is the whole story of Ground Zero, really. Nobody could save the dead. So they saved each other. 🇺🇸

I reread this every year. I cry like a baby every year. Todd Beamer died a father, husband, and hero. Todd: Hello… Operator… listen to me. I can’t speak very loud. This is an emergency. I’m a passenger on a United flight to San Francisco. Our plane has been hijacked. Lisa: I understand. Can they see you? Todd: No. There are three that we know of. They have knives — razor knives, like box cutters. Someone announced from the cockpit there was a bomb. It sounded fake. Lisa: Your name?Todd: Todd Beamer. United Flight 93.Todd: They killed one passenger in first class. They forced most of us back. Fourteen of us here. Five flight attendants. The guy with the bomb ordered us to sit on the floor. Lisa: Are you okay? Todd: We’re going down… wait. No. We’re leveling off. We changed directions. We’re flying east again. Todd: A guy named Jeremy called his wife. She told him two planes hit the World Trade Center. Lisa, is that true? Lisa: I have to tell you the truth. It’s very bad. Both towers are gone. A third plane hit the Pentagon. Our country is under attack. I’m afraid your plane may be part of their plan. Todd: Oh God. Lisa, will you do something for me? Call my wife and my kids. Promise me you’ll call. Lisa: I promise. Todd: Our home number is… You have the same name as my wife. Lisa. We’ve been married ten years. She’s pregnant with our third child. Tell her I love her. I’ll always love her. We have two boys — David, he’s 3, and Andrew, he’s 1. Tell them their daddy loves them and he is so proud of them. The baby is due January 12th. I saw an ultrasound. We still don’t know if it’s a girl or a boy. Lisa: I’ll tell them. I promise, Todd.(Lisa patches in the FBI.) Agent: Todd, your plane is on a course for Washington. Best guess is the White House or the Capitol. Todd: I understand. I’ll be back. Todd: Everyone knows this isn’t a normal hijacking. We have decided we will not be pawns in their plot. Lisa: What are you going to do? Todd: Four of us are going to rush the one with the bomb. Then the cockpit. A stewardess is getting boiling water. We’ll take them out. Todd: Would you pray with me?They pray the Lord’s Prayer. Then: Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me. Todd: God help me. Jesus help me.Are you guys ready? Let’s Roll.

Literally a few hours after posting this, multiple people are in hospital following a knife attack on the streets of London, *in the middle of the day*. There’s ‘research’ & ‘statistics’… and then there’s reality. I know which I believe….
Politicians and commentators have talked London down for far too long. Today’s research from Kings College shows just how far lies about our city have spread. But Londoners know the truth and we’re fighting back. standard.co.uk/news/london/l…

This genuinely needs to be put to @prorefofficial until they respond. Why are all other managers being booked within minutes of stepping out of their technical area whilst Arteta is allowed to roam freely, and sometimes even onto the actual pitch?! Why the special treatment?!
Another season, same old @prorefofficial bias towards Arsenal. Literally refereed differently to every other team in the league. Yet the weirdos claim no special treatment 💀

🚨 TWO TIER LABOUR EXPOSED: MINISTER CALLS BRITISH CITIZENS THUGS WHILE ILLEGAL MEGA DINGHIES INVADE PORTSMOUTH! Meet Labour Treasury Minister Emma Reynolds. She just went live on GB News to attack hundreds of local British residents in Portsmouth, branding ordinary citizens as intimidating thugs who crossed the line simply for protesting against illegal migration. Let that sink in for a second! Smuggling cartels launch a record breaking mega dinghy carrying 140 unvetted illegal migrants from 200 miles away in France, and Labour meets them with heated coaches, free hotels, and taxpayer funded perks. Yet when patriotic people in Portsmouth, the historic home of the Royal Navy, stand up to demand border security, Labour ministers smear them as violent criminals. We spent over 1.2 billion pounds sending cash to France to stop this crisis, and all we got was open borders and ministers insulting our own people. Illegal arrivals break our border laws and get rewarded with free housing. British taxpayers complain, and they get called thugs by the politicians spending their money. RT and SHARE this everywhere to expose Emma Reynolds and stand with the people of Portsmouth! 🇬🇧

Portsmouth, UK: Going through the courts right now is a case of an Iraqi man who has been charged with raping a 14 year old boy + stalking offences. Last night the first boat arrived there. Locals & beyond reacted with fury & desperation. The illegal migrants were met with welcome packs. The British citizens were met with riot police; batons, shields and force. Among those present last night, I saw the sister of Rhiannon Skye Whyte, a vicar, mums/dads and even a gran in a kayak. Much of the media, many politicians & multiple commentators are falling over themselves today desperate to label these people “racist”, “far-right”, “thugs” etc. The people who attended last night are desperate. They are angry, frightened and at their wits end. They feel betrayed by the government(s), they want this to immediately stop. They’ve tried the democratic way & it’s failed. To all of you criticising….As you sit, in your comfortable chairs pointing and name-calling, while declaring “refugees are welcome here”, ask yourself this….How comfortable would you be if hundreds of these men ended up on your street, in HMOs next door to you, or if your child was raped by one, or if your child had to accommodate a grown man in their classroom pretending to be a child etc? I could weep when I see what’s happening and what politicians have done to this country. The victims in all of this, as usual, will be the working class, the ones most impacted by all of this. They are rising because it’s the only thing they have left to do, because everything else has failed. And to the politicians criticising, I say directly to them - how dare you. You have done this. You. You are eroding this country inch by inch, while getting the very same British people who have repeatedly voted against it, to pay for it. I personally worry where it will all end… 💔

A crisis is coming - and Burnham's premiership is dead in the water Brace, brace for impact: a financial tsunami is heading for Britain, threatening to sweep away Andy Burnham’s premiership before it even gets started. If our fair-weather PM isn’t careful, the first Budget he is preparing with John Healey could well be their last: yes, the crisis is that grave. It is a miracle it didn’t happen sooner, but in recent days the markets finally lost confidence in the British state’s ability to balance its books and to keep control of inflation, and are demanding sharply higher interest rates to keep lending us the £252bn worth of gilts we hope to borrow this year alone (including redemptions). The black hole in the public finances has jumped over the past few days, and could rise uncontrollably if sentiment continues to turn against Britain, requiring emergency action to slash spending and raise revenue. At best, Healey has just lost £6bn of Budget firepower, and that is even before any negative developments from the Middle East. The situation is febrile: gilt yields are already much higher than they were at the time of Liz Truss’s Budget; the UK-specific “moron premium” is also substantially greater than it was then. Combined with the impact of higher diesel and gas prices, it should be clear – if not yet to the PM himself – that Burnham’s entire agenda is dead in the water, his cost of living promises obsolete, his Big Government delusions unaffordable, and his gimmicky “triple helix” and devolution-led “growth” model hopelessly inadequate. How will the public react when it realises it has been promised the unaffordable? How will Labour MPs respond? @AllisterHeath

Due to potential disruption around commemorations for one of the killers of two police officers murdered in Middlesbrough, schools are planning to close. This is wrong. Children shouldn’t lose their education because of organised crime. I’ve asked the Education Secretary to intervene and I hope she does, we cannot give in to thugs.
