Making it safer for people to walk, wheel and cycle through a children's park. Who would be against that?

Funny how people like Honorary Alderman David Dixon never raised any concerns about this scheme TWO years ago when the consultation started.

This plonker wants @BathPresTrust to promote car usage in a *leisure* park opened by Princess Victoria in 1830, 50+ years before Karl Benz patented his vehicle. Goodman has no concept of either history or the modern world.
Don’t put it past them. Where is @BathPresTrust are they objecting. Doesn’t look like it

I wonder if "it is vital for us to address all those issues" will included smiling for the camera as she cuts the ribbon to a new foodbank, just like the Tories have done.

Heron of Alexandria and the Brabham Formula 1 team got there earlier.
This clip has more innovation than all of Europe has produced in 100 years

The odds of a child getting kidnapped are about 1 in a million. The lifetime odds of dying in a traffic crash are about 1 in 93 compared to other ways. Parents act like these stats are reversed. They're paranoid about rare kidnappings and naive about the common driving.

Scientists at the University of California, Irvine have won an igNobel Prize for discovering that rich people drive more selfishly, are more likely to lie at work and more likely to steal sweets meant for children.

Hilarious. This is coming from a woman who is desperately going to court in order to avoid points on her licence for speeding. She's confessed to accruing previous offences. She not a safe driver - a danger to all.
Is it time for bikes to have a registration visible so they can be held responsible for their behaviour? Why are cyclists allowed to ignore the Highway Code?

Excellent improvements in Green Park. New play equipment and paths including a ramp down to the river Finally, our taxes are being spent on infrastructure "for the many, not the few": nextdoor.co.uk/p/867hcCXRdN9…

I wonder how many today are reminding "political commentator" @WillKingston (not a journalist) of this hilariously ignorant post from a year ago.

More people are killed on the roads in this country than are murdered. And yet road crime is still not taken seriously. Excellent report from Claire Waxman (Victims Commissioner for England & Wales) @VictimsComm theguardian.com/law/2026/aug…

I wonder if the same number of people are going to be disappointed by this solar eclipse as they were by the previous one visible from Britain. "Was that it? Well that's a bit of let down"

She prides herself on "being safe" yet, by her own admission, has multiple "speeding fines": "In 45 years of driving I have never contested a speeding fine". It appears the right certainly do attract idiots.
She said she was shocked to receive the speeding ticket as she prides herself on being a good and safe driver. bathecho.co.uk/news/crime/fo…
