Spiderman Brand New Day is everything you'd want and a bit more...not the twistyist twist but great action, pace and pathos, funny, well-pitched cameos, and a touch of deeper refection. Nothing to hate, lots to enjoy!

Toy Story 5? Yes they've done it again! It actually has a story to tell, some striking visual moments (no spoilers here!), and a moment I had to force back the tears. Wow Pixar - Great job! Criticism? Not enough of these guys 🤣

Able to pick up the football in the second half after being at a great welcoming service... England scored as I checked in - hotel receptionist now thinks it was an act of God 'becausea vicar walked in!'..should I tell him its just coincidence???

Anyone know how much of the time it is actually Pedro on screen and how much is his doubles? Doesn't stop me enjoying the movie but I do wonder!

Funny how some people think that because you are the most senior member of staff in the office you are magically imbued with the power to make the whole place cooler.

Whatever you make of Mandalorian and Grogu (and I really enjoyed it thanks) it is amazing how much debate and discussion it is provoking. Looks like love of Star Wars is still alive and passionate. So even if some are down on the film it looks like Disney is still winning.

Every film better than the last...I'm not sure you can say that about any other 4 films in a franchise? Come on 5... please don't let me down!

Covered at a new church this morning. Lovely congregation, but they really didn't know if I was joking when, after the reading for pentecost I suggested we all head into the village for the next 20 minutes to share our faith with whoever was around and report back over coffee.

I seem to have drifted off the map here and have such bizarre posts appearing rather than those I know. Not posting often seems to create a very strange timeline, so I'll make one last stand, push out some new friend requests and see if it's worth staying!

A while since I'd seen a movie on the day of release, but saw The Mandalorian and Grogu & really enjoyed it. Not as deeply into it's lore as on Disney+ but accessible, fun and pretty well paced. Not an absolute classic, but a solid and enjoyable chapter in the Star Wars universe.

Sometimes you go into a film hoping to be entertained but not expecting too much...and you are really pleasantly surprised that it has levels of meaning and reflection way beyond you imagined and it was great fun too. The Devil Wears Prada 2!!!

The Titanic Experience is Belfast really is brilliant! It manages to celebrate the skills of the city and honour the memory of the tragedy beautifully.
