I kind of got behind in reading YouTube comments and replying to them. It was fun to play a little catchup this evening.

A hole on the Moon just turned out to be the front door to a 50 km tunnel. Japan’s Kaguya orbiter first spotted it. A pit about 50 metres wide and 50 metres deep, sitting in the Marius Hills on the Moon’s near side. Then JAXA pointed the probe’s radar underground. The echoes came back with something huge: a lava tube roughly 100 metres wide, running about 50 km, and still intact. No collapse. Scientists think it was carved by volcanic activity around 3.5 billion years ago. There may even be ice or water locked in the rocks inside. That’s why JAXA thinks it could become a lunar base. Shelter from radiation, micrometeorites and brutal temperature swings, all built in. Source: JAXA / ISAS, Geophysical Research Letters

A Scottish museum has removed its Egyptian mummy exhibition because it does not have “consent from the deceased individual”. Visitors to Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, in Glasgow, were left disappointed by signs explaining bosses had “removed human remains from this display as a mark of respect”🔗 telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/10…

At this very moment, my biggest focus is avoiding being scammed by bots designed to exploit the marketing insecurities of writers.

Congratulations on your work! It's always encouraging to see authors putting their ideas and stories out into the world. I'm curious, what's your biggest focus right now as an author, reaching more readers, increasing book sales, or building more visibility for your work?

A lot of people don't understand why we have to clean the church buildings. Yes, it's a hassle, and it's inefficient. But let me make it very, very clear for you: Your kids aren't affected that much by what you say Or what you do Or even what you make a habit of Your kids are affected by what you sacrifice for. That is how you truly teach them. Every opportunity the Church gives you to serve and sacrifice is a gift.

So Kickstarter itself has been running ads starting today for "Witchstarter," its Halloweenish-themed offerings. And they are featuring my books. So that's cool. Learn more about the Witchy War and back the Kickstarter campaign here: kickstarter.com/projects/hap…

Spent eight hours in the basement today, teaching P&Ls. It's fun to emerge and see that the Kickstarter campaign has been having a good run.

I'm on today's Writer Dojo episode, talking about, among other things, the Kickstarter campaign. Most of the Dojo's audience listens on platforms other than YouTube, but here's the YouTube link: youtube.com/watch?v=DSOpEk7B… You can learn about and back the campaign here: kickstarter.com/projects/hap… Thanks, @monsterhunter45 and @SteveDiamond80!

My son was telling my grandson a bedtime story. The heroes went deep into a cave. Suddenly, my grandson interjected, "And they saw the MOUTH of the world. And it was EATING." In twelve words he created imagery scarier than 99% of my horror stuff. I was so mad.
