At a bar this weekend, I spoke with a random person in their young 30s. She mentioned that she and her sister-in-law have political disagreements.
I asked her which subject in particular.
She said: Israel-Palestine.
So, I asked which side she stands on.
She said she was opposed to Israel genociding Palestinians.
Trying not to give away my position, I asked: What makes you say that?
She said it was Israel killing 200,000 Palestinian children.
I told her that was interesting because Hamas's death toll, which includes fighters, sits at around 70,000. At that point, she made it clear that she wasn't interested in changing her opinion.
We have a propaganda and misinformation problem. It seems that many people have developed strong opinions based on lies. But perhaps correct information could help dispel the lies. Though, I suspect the truth doesn't matter as much as the narrative.

As we mark 43 years since #Hezbollah bombed the Marine barracks in Beirut, killing 241 American and 58 French peacekeepers, I honor those today working for peace between Lebanon and Israel, and for a better future in the region. Blessed are the peacemakers.

Replying to @USAmbUN
@USAmbUn is not saying there was no genocide in Burma/Myanmar. He said Pillay is trying to use the current Myanmar case to "lower the legal threshold for proving genocide" that will surely be weaponized against American soldiers. As explained in my below Wall Str. J. oped, Myanmar can clearly be found guilty of genocide under the current definition. So why is Pillay attempting to drastically broaden the definition? It's because Pillay has already accused Israel of genocide even thought it's conduct doesn't meet the current definition. That isn't justice -- it's hijacking the ICJ to suit the political objective of vilifying Israel.

This is not a political issue. It is about protecting the United States and our military from international courts and actors trying to weaponize those courts by redefining definitions, lowering standards to allow the pursuit beyond their jurisdiction or international law standards.

I fully support not allowing Pillay or the ICJ weaken the genocide definitions, especially lowering the legal threshold for proving genocidal intent.

Yes. The definitions matter. The ICJ must not be allowed to lower the legal threshold for proving genocide so that weakened and false standard can later be weaponized against American and allied soldiers whenever they raise a finger against terrorists that hide behind civilians.

This is not a good talking point, though it is making the rounds. @michaelgwaltz is not saying the ICJ should not conclude their was or was not a genocide in Burma - he is saying they shouldn't use the opportunity to smuggle in a downward definition of the crime.
In what might be an endless loop, this repudiation indicates that Nusseibeh would be a good candidate to lead the UN.
There's video evidence of the attack. NBC is either lazy or malicious in its use of "accused."
BREAKING: Israel orders a “full lockdown” of the occupied West Bank after its military kills two Palestinians accused of launching an attack that injured five people near the city of Hebron. nbcnews.com/world/middle-eas…
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The post inaccurately states the attack injured five people; two Israeli soldiers were killed and three others injured when Palestinian gunmen opened fire at a military checkpoint near Hebron.

This is outrageous!!! I should not have to pay extra to sit away from my children!!
SORRY IF THIS OFFENDS AIRLINES, BUT I'M DONE.
I booked a flight for me, my wife, and our 6 year old. The ticket total was $612.
At checkout it asked if we wanted to pick seats. If you skip it, they "assign seats at check in." Which means the three of us could end up in three different rows.
Seat selection was $38 per person, each way.
$38 x 3 people x 2 flights = $228.
My final bill was $840.
They're charging families extra just to NOT split up a 6 year old from his parents.
THAT'S NOT A SEAT FEE. THAT'S A RANSOM.
There are two West Banks: The West Bank of Brad Lander's air-conditioned agitator tour bus and the one in which armed terrorists murder Israelis.
Which one will receive more media attention?
Two soldiers were killed in this morning's shooting attack at a checkpoint near the West Bank city of Hebron this morning, the military announces.
The slain soldiers are named as Staff Sgt. Ron Yonatan Roytman, 23, from Ashkelon; and Sgt. Yuval Shai Svilem, 20, from Hod Hasharon.
They both served in the 775th “Ari” Battalion of the Home Front Command's Search and Rescue Brigade. Roytman was a squad commander.
Three other soldiers of the battalion were injured in the shooting, in light and moderate conditions.
The two Palestinian gunmen were shot dead at the scene following a 20-minute gunfight with Israeli soldiers.

What was supposed to be a global campaign to support human rights has been exposed as an extremist attempt to undermine Israel through political means. Their departures have weakened The Hague Group and demonstrated the limited appetite among third parties for persecuting Israel under the guise of accountability.

ICJ ad hoc "judge" Navi Pillay is tipping the scales on the ICJ’s current proceedings on Myanmar, intending to lower the legal threshold for proving genocide so that weakened and false standard can later be weaponized against American and allied soldiers whenever they raise a finger against terrorists that hide behind civilians. Pillay: We see your agenda and we'll be watching the ICJ’s handling of these proceedings very closely. As our actions against the ICC demonstrate, we will not allow globalist, faux-judges to weaponize the law against our troops, undermine our sovereignty, or put American lives at risk.
The Nobel Committee has disgraced itself by awarding the Peace Prize to Pillay. What a shameful choice to "honor" someone who represents an "international community" with a leftist, globalist, antisemitic agenda.
President Trump is showing a better way, by actually ENDING WARS, bringing hostages HOME, and making PEACE.

🛑Israeli actress is taking Francesca Albanese to court.
Israeli actress and model Sarai Givaty has filed a NIS 500,000 defamation lawsuit against Francesca Albanese, the UN Special Rapporteur on the Palestinian territories.
According to the lawsuit, Albanese shared a 23-second clip from a 2025 interview, presented without its full context, and compared Givaty’s remarks to arguments used by Nazi officials to justify the murder of children during the Holocaust.
Givaty says she never called for children to be killed. She was discussing the dangers of extremism and the radicalization of children.
Albanese’s post reportedly reached more than two million views. Givaty says she subsequently received death threats and suffered damage to her reputation and career.
Think about that. A UN official used her international platform to make a devastating comparison involving an Israeli woman, without presenting the full context of her remarks.
Givaty is now fighting back in court.
Holding a UN position does not place anyone above accountability. Accusations this serious demand evidence, context, and responsibility.
