One of the under rated reasons to use serverless solutions. The platform will fix problems like this for you. No need to scramble, you can just grab a pina colada and watch the internet burn
luckily I'm building on @awscloud with #Serverless so the issues didnt bother me much, but still.... TGIF!

Its a good start but I wont stay at another airbnb until I can steal the soap and towels
I just got an email from Airbnb laying out new ground rules for what hosts can demand of guests, and THANK GOD. At my last Airbnb, I had to strip the beds, wash every dish, clean the kitchen, haul the trash out to the road, and there was still a $100 cleaning fee!

PRs are for meatbags not clankers
Why are you still using pull requests? Is it for code review? If so, do you really think your or your colleagues catch bugs and mistakes that an Opus 5.5 or Fable or Astra won't find? You can literally spawn all three of them and have them check four times each. (Also, don't tell me you don't have a "stamp plz" Slack channel or group chat somewhere.) Is it for knowledge sharing? Surely there's better ways for that now than the PR, no? We have models that can generate explainer videos, presentations, podcasts, games, quizzes, walkthroughs, ... for any piece of code it can reach. Is CI the reason? Well ackshually, CI means continuous integration and its original meaning is the *opposite* of having long-lived branches and PRs. But, leaving that aside, your agents are hopefully already running the tests before they push something, and hopefully they can run as long as they want and don't block you so they can run the whole test suite and generate "irrefutable proof" and end-to-end demo videos and so on... And so they run the tests and confirm and then you push to a branch and everything runs again and then you merge and then it runs again? That doesn't make sense, does it? Maybe you work in open source and you accept contributions, in which case I can't speak to the value of pull requests. It's been 2 years since my last OSS contribution. But from what I heard, the time of the PR is coming to an end in OSS too? I honestly don't get why people still stick to PRs. With agents you can now move 10x faster, you can finally do real continuous integration, and get more confidence in the changes the agent made. Don't slow yourself down by having all the changes pile up in a PR.

this is the real bottleneck of the factories
the most common misunderstanding of SOC2 is that it requires humans to review pull requests. it does not.

You can try this now live at eventcatalog.studio/
My mind is blowing up with real-time MCP collaboration with WebMCP and MCP Extensions. In this demo I have my app which allows software architects to collaborate but also invite their agents for the fun. Demo explains it better than I can, watching the agent drag and drop nodes is fucking awesome.

Bro some people do be sharing a novel's worth of info on standups
I’m tired of worthless stand up meetings. Most people share useless info. “I’m working ticket 123”. That’s what the Kanban board is for. Standup is for *novel* info.

Finally, a real spending limit on AWS. The exact thing that made opening a new AWS account scary for beginners is finally here. Opening an AWS account was always scary, since there is no proper spending limit. Just entering a credit card there is not really great.

"[xyz field] did not ask for this work to be done" is a pretty good meme template.

Serverless Framework v4.43.0 is now even better for AI coding agents. The big one: `serverless agent inspect` reads your deployed AWS infrastructure, logs, and more, and pulls back only the essentials. Less context bloat. Fewer tokens. Faster. `npx serverless agent setup`

Bring your own AI subs to [product XYZ] is gonna be a pretty massive shift. Opens door for many more flowers to bloom. It also shifts the focus of companies back towards their core competencies vs being token middlemen.
