Two back-to-back complete outsiders winning at Fontwell as Westlain win as the 66/1 outsider of seven... sportinglife.com/racing/resu… ...and Just Over Land wins as the 11/2 outsider of four. sportinglife.com/racing/resu…

You could afford to get more than chocolate milkshake powder if you backed Neswick to win the last race of the evening yesterday at Southwell as she wins at 16/1 outsider of seven. sportinglife.com/racing/resu…

I've missed a few complete outsiders winning but like most punters, they'd like a general pointer as to a likely winner...you could say that you'd have loved a heads up about um, Heads Up winning at 10/1 earlier on at Down Royal in a four runner race. sportinglife.com/racing/resu…

My best guess is that some people thought that as Mbappe was turning up that some thought he was told he won so there was an 'informed gamble' based on that but Harry Kane becomes the first Englishman since Michael Owen 25 years ago to win the Ballon d'Or. bbc.co.uk/sport/football/art…

**COUGH** Of course, some people 'in the know' predicted the top five correctly. Some may say that a Kane/Mbappe/Yamal 1-2-3 finish was fairly easy to guess based on the betting odds, & some may say Rodri & Messi to round out the top five were as well. msn.com/en-gb/news/other/sus…

Well...I've only seen the headline but I'm surprised yet not surprised by what happened. No spoilers if you didn't watch any of it but I may catch up on the whole debacle.

**COUGH** Each to their own but their movies don't seem to show any form of promiscuity although you have to laugh about the other rules or caveats that their movies must not contain. 👀😬🫣 teapaw.org/i/trending/21158443428…

Rewatching "Coming to America" & they're making a sequel!? Hmmm. At least it's not a remake...surely 'impossible' in the search engine age!

Whilst we wait for that then Eddie Murphy will be starring in his first ever scripted live action TV series...will it be comedy, drama or dramedy? We shall see. teapaw.org/i/trending/21058342963…

Matthew Weiner is no longer involved with the drama series “The Chairman” that is currently in development at Peacock, with Eddie Murphy attached to star. According to sources, creative differences between Weiner and the show’s producers caused them to part ways. variety.com/2026/tv/news/mat…

The 'digital remastering' is amazing & when it's not on display, it's strange looking. 'Frasier' on the other hand hasn't fared so well.

For those wondering what's on Tuesday evenings on CBS then it's not their typical programming as they have a couple of anniversary shows. Grim. I assume Byron had to pay to have it on at 9pm but CBS may occasionally give him a freebie &/or at the very least, 'discounted rates'.

I would have to prepare 'properly' but one of these days, I'd love a go at a 96oz steak challenge. 👀🥩🤤 Yes, you do have to eat all the fat (that's the best part!) & gristle to complete it as well. youtu.be/sloGbrIfdZE

I hadn't realised how big 96oz of steak actually was. Had a 914g steak (just over 2lbs) but I cut it in two to save some for later. It's as big as an arm! It's fairly difficult to cook right as you have to cook it slow otherwise the outside is overcooked but the inside is rare.

Having a go at a 96oz steak challenge is effectively eating six normalish sized 16oz steaks...which is ridiculous. I understand that professional/competitive eaters do 'starve' themselves before undergoing such silly food challenges. Do I still want a go after all this time? 🫣

If anyone was wondering if there is an inevitable biopic then yes, there is with Shonda Rimes doing one for Netflix called "Inventing Anna" with Julia Garner playing her. It's a boom time for portraying female villains, fictional or real these days. 😗😏 teapaw.org/BeccMoore/status/13778…

Banning things such as Winnie-the-Pooh on Chinese search engines!? Between this, demolishing Ai Weiwei's art studio, "Peppa Pig", Chinese "Saturday Night Live", "Guardian/Zhenhun" & a load of other stuff, the Chinese government have got no chill, man. teapaw.org/THRGlobal/status/10114…

Real Madrid also don't want to get on the wrong side of China.
Real Madrid @realmadrid has formally apologized to the Chinese people over controversial comments by its player Kylian Mbappe, sending a letter to China Media Group through La Liga on Wednesday, CMG reported. In the letter, the Spanish football club expressed deep respect for China, its history, culture and people, as well as the millions of Chinese fans who support the club. It also reaffirmed Mbappe's respect for the Chinese people. More: news.cgtn.com/news/2026-10-2…

2nd viewing!? Missed the first 20 minutes or so because of a scheduling clash & arrived when the caretaker was abducted. Was this re-edited yet again somehow!? Flash falling on top of Wonder Woman was still an odd scene but felt much shorter. Still think Hello Giggles is wrong.

The box office is gonna hurt but if Laika can hype the achievement AND quality as well as the time & money poured into it then it may still win on prestige. I'm surprised that "Coyote vs. Acme" qualifies but animating the characters even into a real world environment counts. 🤔

The portrayal of young girls in Hollywood is a weird one as there's all sorts of variants of people of any kind. They did this to Bella Ramsey in "The Last of Us" (a different kind of criticism/argument for that one!), & they're doing it for a... <checks notes>...fictional girl?
People are calling Prue ug*y because she doesn’t look like the caricature of a teenage girl they’re used to seeing in film. I personally find her character design to be a reflection of her forlorn temperament, that’s to say, it’s deeply human, as is the entirety of #Wildwood.

I'm sure the Kardashians will say they had absolutely nothing to do with this but as they've all had plastic surgery of some kind then I feel this reeks of 'peer pressure'. You're hanging around the wrong crowd, Jen even if they did protect you from Kanye getting a gawp at you.
