A busy day of flying yesterday at CWHM.
The Harvard Mk.IV, B-25 Mitchell, C-47 Dakota and Noorduyn Norseman were all active.
Yes, it was Waterloo Warbirds T-33 Mako Shark. They offer rides in the jet.
It flew over Hamilton Airport on three flights today.
Replying to @DavidartHills
@DavidartHills this morning on Flightradar (while waiting on VeRA) saw fighter jet departing from Hamilton heading west. Clicked icon, don’t remember its make/model but was bright blue and the nose art was a mouth with lots of teeth! Did you see it or know of it? Thanks.
A fun #ThrowbackThursday to summer of 2012 when I flew in B-29 Superfortress FIFI.
Crawling through the tunnel between the cockpit and the aft section to the tail gunners position in flight is an adventure.
Thanks to @B29B24Squadron team and volunteers for keeping it flying!
A #throwbackthursday to my flight in B-24 Liberator Diamond ‘Lil.
It’s an incredible opportunity if you have to chance.
The dedicated flight and maintenance crews are always happy to share stories as well.

Was happy to catch the newly delivered RCAF CT-157 Siskin II flying with the CF Snowbirds at Aero Gatineau/Ottawa 2026.
This Pilatus PC-21 variant is the new advanced training aircraft for RCAF pilots.
Fun to see the first factory flight of the RCAF’s CF-35A Lightning II from Texas,
it’ll soon be on its way to start pilot training at USAF’s Luke AFB, near Phoenix AZ
Canada’s First F-35 Conducts Maiden Flight
The Royal Canadian Air Force’s first F-35A Lightning II flew for the first time, marking a milestone in Canada’s controversial fighter acquisition program to replace the CF-188 Hornet fleet.

The RCAF’s new TPS-77 Tactical Control Radar was available to see up close at @AeroOttawa this past weekend.
It’s impressive that this system is air transportable in a C-17 Globemaster III.
So many unique types of aircraft were on display at @AeroOttawa this past weekend.
Warbirds like the Lysander, Spitfire, a @CoastGuardCAN Bell 429, the recently delivered CT-157 Siskin II, and a Dash-8-400AT fire bomber.
As @AeroOttawa ended yesterday the @CFSnowbirds performed a smoke show right in front of the crowd.
At the end of their 2nd last display in 🇨🇦 after an incredible 55 years of performances!
Thank you to the pilots and maintenance crews for this additional element!
So many fun moments today at @AeroOttawa the C-5 Galaxy, CF-18 Hornet with Spitfire Hurricane, and P-51 Mustang and the new CT-157 Siskin II flew with @CFSnowbirds
#airshow
The new CT-157 Siskin II is the star of @AeroOttawa on static, but the @CFSnowbirds and warbirds are always my favourite.
Seeing the @topaces AlphaJet was a pleasant surprise.

RCAF CF-18 afterburner when it’s twilight or afterburner when it’s dark, what’s your favourite?

Here are my rides to and from the last @AeroOttawa airshow I attended a few years ago. I was volunteering with CWHM at the show.
A Westland Lysander to get there and returned on the B-25 Mitchell.
This year it’ll be a little less dramatic of an arrival and departure. 😁
A Westland Lysander Mk.IIIA in BCATP target tug markings that used to be flown by @CWHM.
Happy to hear the Lancaster flying today!
