Italy owns our railway operators, China our nuclear power stations, Canadian pensioners our water utilities, India our steel industry and now a Czech billionaire is buying Royal Mail. This is what the Tories call 'taking back control'.

Funding has already been stopped in some areas with the highest suicide rates, and by 2024 the rest of it will stop completely. This is an unacceptable decision from the Government when suicide rates are as high now as they were 20 years ago. 2/4

Well, well, well, well, well, would you look at that.

What could they possibly be trying to hide?

Private sector hospital capacity is a myth: private hospitals have no doctors of their own.
Their business model is to make a profit by saving on training and benefits - our NHS foots the bill.
RT if you want our NHS reinstated as a fully-funded, fully-public service. 💙

If our country won’t look after its medical professionals there are sadly many others that will.
This salary package being offered to doctors in Australia equates to about £128,000.
We wish more people understood just how close we are to an irreparable staffing crisis.

A potentially divisive move here by Govt and @theRCN - does this put Agenda for Change, a contract for a million NHS staff at risk by starting to create exclusive carve outs for one group over others? What do nurses and non-nurse AfC staff think?

5% won’t improve retention
5% won’t increase recruitment
5% leaves most nurses (and many other staff) around £4,400 worse off in real terms than in 2008
The Government need to do so much better for an NHS in crisis
