We share @WFP_SouthSudanโs condemnation of threats against humanitarians in Jonglei by armed groups, forcing the offloading of aid that will no longer reach those in need. Deeply concerning this occurred in front of local authorities. Authorities must ensure unhindered access.

Yesterday, we joined friends and colleagues to bid farewell to UK Ambassador to South Sudan, @Davidwillashley as he concludes his time in the country.
His farewell reflections were encouraging and hopeful: life remains incredibly difficult for ordinary South Sudanese, and the road ahead will be long. But South Sudan also has enormous opportunities in its people, natural resources and beauty.
On behalf of the @POFSouthSudan team, thank you, David, for your partnership, openness and commitment to working through South Sudanese partners to make a difference.
We were also delighted to sit down with him for a special POFcast conversation reflecting on his experiences and lessons from the past two years. Please see the link below to listen to his thought-provoking views.
@Davidwillashley wishing you all the very best for what comes next.
