A fantastic example of having a massive chip on your shoulder.
If Harry Kane was Welsh or Scottish the headline would be “the first British player in 25 years to win the Ballon d’Or” But he’s English so of course the whole “British” thing goes straight out the window A perfect example of how subconscious bias works

Gronk Big Ben AP.
So how many of these guys do you think will be voted in for the first try into Canton? @NFL @ProFootballHOF

This Baseball vs Cricket debate feels so personal because I used to be a professional American baseball player. I played Single-A before moving to India for some business work. I had to stay in India for a long time, so I started watching live cricket. Once I understood the game, I decided to try playing it at a small ground. A baseball player like me, who thought he could smash every ball for a six, struggled to even hit one. I got bowled twice in my first three balls. I managed to connect with a few full tosses, but you rarely get those deliveries because bowlers usually bowl them by mistake. Yorkers, bouncers, everything felt like I was putting my life at risk. 😭 I became so fascinated with cricket that I eventually opened a cricket-related page. Hitting a pitched baseball and hitting a cricket ball after it bounces are two completely different things. If even half of India's cricket-playing kids started training for baseball, they could give America some serious competition. You have no idea how difficult cricket actually is until you step onto the pitch.

Cricket will always be infinitely harder than rounders.
This baseball vs Cricket debate is pure rage bait. High school baseball is harder than professional cricket.

Fuck me. "The people gave off that vibe tha they'd been victimised". Talk about irony!!!
A disappointingly sour recollection of Stoke and the people of Stoke from James McClean in his new autobiography. "Stoke turned out to be as grim as Huddersfield. The people gave off that vibe that they’d been victimised and were owed something." stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/fo…

Reminder. Jimmy Anderson took 50 wickets at 17 last season. He is not the reason Lancashire are so shit. Decisions like this are the reason. What a disgraceful way to end the career of one of the greats.
Lancashire Cricket can confirm that, following a remarkable 25-year association with the Red Rose, Sir James Anderson’s playing career with the Club will come to an end at the conclusion of his current contract. Read more: cricket.lancashirecricket.co… 🌹 #RedRoseTogether

That's Tom Curran for you. A legend in his own head. A massive bellend who is nowhere near as good as he thinks he is. An arrogant dickhead.
One of the Most Ridiculous and Craziest Moment in Cricket! 🤯😂 Tom Curran kept doing his run-up on the same pitch where the match was going to be played. Even after the umpire repeatedly told him to stop, he refused to listen Finally, the umpire stood right in the middle of Curran's run-up. Both of them refused to back down. Then Curran charged in again, making it look like he was about to kick the umpire, forcing the umpire to quickly move out of the way! 😂 Because of this ridiculous behavior, Tom Curran was suspended for 4 matches. 🤯😂

Haven’t heard much from @malcolmconn Can someone check to see if he is ok?

Hi Malcolm. 👋 Have you tried blaming Ollie Robinson? That usually works for you.
Australia’s batting following an increasingly familiar pattern. Losing to Bangladesh two months ago was a significant signpost. Will be a spectacular effort to lose this Test after 140 overs taken out by rain. #SAvAus - ‘Can't defend that’ espncricinfo.com/story/can-t…

The Australian cricket team everyone. Fine when they do it. Time to cry when done to them.
Was it fair play from a fiery Marco Jansen or a bit much in your eyes? A heated day four of #SAvAUS under the microscope: cricketa.us/4iyQYsg

James Anderson will not be offered a new contract by @lancscricket. His wickets came at a cost of just 17 runs this season. They deserve to be as shit as they are with treatment like that.

When people talk about out all time England Text XI, there are four names from me that are non negotiable. Sir Jack Hobbs Herbert Sutcliffe Ken Barrington Sydney Barnes
Ken Barrington scored almost 7000 Test Runs in 82 matches with 20 💯 at a ridiculous average of almost 59 ❤️ Not sure why he is seldom mentioned in the pantheon of England greats or named in many all-time XI line ups? 🏏 Anyone help? @GeoffreyBoycott @BumbleCricket

So a three hour delay in the #SAvAus test match...and lunch has yet to be taken. We really don't help ourselves in cricket do we?

Are you insane? This season (just like every season he has been at Detroit), he has been excellent. 12 TDs to zero picks this year. Herbert 5 TDs with SEVEN picks! Ludicrous. Lions trade Goff for Herbert and three first rounders is more realistic.
What would you give the Chargers for Justin Herbert if you were the Lions' GM? 🤔

Megatron, obviously.
Your favorite NFL team is down by 4 in the Super Bowl with 2 seconds left at the 8 yard line. Which WR from your team’s history are you trusting to catch the game winning pass?

Incorrect. It is a wide + 4, so 5 runs. A six can only be hit by a batter.
🚨 MAYBE FIRST TIME IN CRICKET HISTORY 🚨 Ali Khan bowls a bouncer, and the ball goes for a SIX 😳 That's a Wide + Six, possibly the first time this has happened in cricket history 😂 A must watch 👇🏻

His grandson played for @TSA_CC for many years.
Growing up, Bill Alley to me was an umpire. Only later did I learn he was an excellent allrounder in the northern leagues and then for Somerset, playing 350 times for them even though he did not make his debut until he was 38. A former boxer, he moved from Australia to England when he missed out on Test selection. He finished with 19612 first-class runs at 31.88 and 768 wickets at 22.68. He was the last batsman to score 3000 runs in a first-class season - 3019 runs at 56.96 in 1961. He later stood in 10 Tests (C)
