We are so excited for our first PhD, Dr. @GabrielLipkowi2 ! As our first graduate student in the lab, Gabriel was and continues to be a trailblazer in many ways! Congrats Dr. Lipkowitz 🎉
Another PhD! My student, @GabrielLipkowi2, successfully passed his final defense!! (My 81st PhD student; 1st at @Stanford!). Beautiful work on iCLIP that garnered almost another order of magnitude in print speed (over CLIP), multi-resin printing and printing of viscous resins. Also set the stage for printing free-form microfluidics! He’s headed to @NUSingapore Department of Design as an Assistant Professor right out of graduate school! Bravo! @DeSimoneLab

Once again, the @DeSimoneLab has a strong summer program with Patrick Chou (rising high school senior), Malayasia Moses (Stanford undergrad, ChemE REU), Montana Lagat (Stanford undegrad, ChemE REU), Bruklyn Williams (Stanford undegrad, MechE REU), Stephanie Boczek (Stanford undergrad, ChemE REU) and Modeste Rukundo (University of Oklahoma undergrad, Stanford SURF intern). Thanks to all of my senior students, postdocs and staff for making it so mutually rewarding!! @Stanford @StanfordMed @StanfordEng
Congratulations to mechanical engineering PhD candidate, @GabrielLipkowi2, and chemical engineering postdoc, @MaxSaccone on the recent publication of their PNAS perspective paper looking at 'Growing three-dimensional objects with light'! pnas.org/doi/10.1073/pnas.23…

Great to have our @DeSimoneLab Annual Retreat out on the San Francisco Bay! Always a good time!! And this year, they helped celebrate my 60th Birthday!! What a way to do it! And joining my team from @Stanford were our collaborators, Jillian Perry and Shaomin Tian who travelled in from @UNC!! Thank you team!
We are very excited to share a new paper out of the lab, led by @StanfordUChem PhD student, Jason Kronenfeld, in @Nature ! This work introduces Roll-to-roll CLIP, a new technique for large scale, high resolution production of shape-specific particles!

Shout out to our fantastic Postdoc Liaison @MaxSaccone (@DeSimoneLab) for giving a super captivating lunch-and-learn and teaching us about additive manufacturing approaches! 🤩
Congratulations to our very own @MaxSaccone!
[PMSE 100] Congratulations to the PMSE Future Leaders! Symposium to be held at the 2024 Spring ACS National Meeting, New Orleans, LA, March 17-21, 2024 as part of the PMSE centennial celebration. #ACSSpring2024 #PMSE100 #RisingStars #polymer @AmerChemSociety

Excited to share the first microarray microneedle patches (MAPs) designed at @Stanford and printed on @Carbon’s first high resolution “S2 Printer” that was recently installed in the @DeSimoneLab! This printer has a projected Pixel Size of 5.4 microns and a Build Area of 15.3 mm x 9.5 mm, with a Build Height >100 mm! It runs all of Carbon’s advanced software found on the M3 (it’s built on the M3 chassis) and all of the Carbon and third party resins. Reliability and reproducibility, here we come…!
Congratulations to postdoctoral scholar, Jean Kwak, who is on the Forbes Asia 30 under 30 list! Jean was recognized for her research integrating biology and electronics to improve preventative care and health monitoring! Way to go, Jean!

PhD candidates, Madison Driskill and @NetraUnni, represented the lab well at #microneedlesconference 2023 in Seattle! Madison presented a poster on solid state formulations and MAP delivery, while Netra gave a talk on our #3dprinted L-MAP technology. Way to go!
Absolutely amazing, Philip! An excellent example of how science can be beautiful and impactful!
Super exciting to see an image of my recent research in the @DeSimoneLab on 3D-printed metallized polymer lattice electrodes for renewable energy storage displayed in the @StanfordEng MRS “Art of Science” showcase. #3Dprinting #RenewableEnergy #scicomm
Exciting to see the intersection of art and our research, congrats Netra!
It was surreal to see my PhD work in the @DeSimoneLab featured in the Art of Science Exhibition by @StanfordEng MRS! This work depicts the scale of our 3D-printed patches while my nail art shows the complex, lattice geometries of needles on the patch! #sciart #STEAM #scicomm
