This merger will stifle creativity, weaken free speech, and cost people their jobs -- it is a bad deal for this country and should never have been approved. This is an incredibly disappointing outcome for the hundreds of thousands of us who stood up to block it, but it's also not the end. This grassroots movement isn't going to fade away and neither is our resolve. This was never about just one merger: this was about fighting back against corrupt oligarch billionaires trampling the interests of everyday people to line their own pockets. We're still in that fight. Join us. deadline.com/2026/09/paramou…

And so here we are. This statement from Trump blows my mind. That a sitting president would not let any renovations to a public building go on unless he gets to first put his name in the said building… What a sad state of affairs. What a tragedy. Actually, how small minded, how narcissistic. Actually great men, devoted to public service and the public good do not act like this. It seems that this man will not rest until his name is permanently connected to the name of a great president, whose memory this building was dedicated to. Imagine spending your time and your days focused on this, as everyday Americans struggle with healthcare, gas prices, rent, and food. Imagine spending your days focused on this, while a war rages under your leadership. Enough said. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Rep. Joyce Beatty on her Kennedy Center call with President Trump today: "I think it would be unthinkable for someone to hear a president using the language that he used. He threw a tantrum. It was like an immature child. I wouldn't even want to put this on a child."

SCOTUS has REJECTED Trump’s plan to change mail-in voting and rig the elections before the midterms. Mail-in voting is safe and accessible. In California, ballots are sent to all registered voters the first week of October. Let’s show up this November and take Congress back!

BREAKING: Mayor Mamdani just announced that NYC, along with several other cities are suing Trump's government for their anti-immigration rules (Public Charge Rule). "We gathered here today out of a belief that New York City is the greatest city in the world, in no small part because of the immigrants who helped to build it. Immigrants laid the foundations of our bridges and erected towers that stretch into the sky. Immigrants wrote the poems that stir our hearts and sang the songs that make us dance. Immigrants fought for the eight-hour workday, for fair pay, and workplace protections that delivered dignity into the lives of so many. Immigrants from every country, from every continent, who speak every language and worship in every conceivable way, drive our buses and our trains, teach our children how to read, and tend to us when we are sick. "Immigrants are New Yorkers, and yet we know that, all too often, they are not treated as such. The federal government has waged a campaign of violence and terror. Unaccompanied children have been forced to navigate our judicial system alone. ICE has broken into our neighbors' homes, worksites, and schools, and it has targeted those who have come to our country in search of refuge and in search of opportunity. These actions are an assault on our civic fabric, on our shared values, and, no matter how much destruction they have already caused, it continues. "To get to any of us, you will have to get through all of us. That is why, today, we are confronting this injustice with the solidarity and action that it demands. New York City is leading a coalition of cities and counties, including Chicago, San Francisco, Seattle, Santa Clara County, and King County, to sue the federal government for the gross illegality of their new public charge rule and the irreparable damage that it will cause."

For years, New Yorkers have demanded access to City records about the lasting health impacts of the horrific September 11th attacks. For years, they have been denied and ignored. That ends today. My administration is launching a free online portal for 9/11-related documents and releasing the first 170,000 pages today — available now at nyc.gov/sept11docs. These records prove what families and first responders have long known: City government knew the conditions around Ground Zero were dangerous — yet lied to New Yorkers. Thousands pay the price for this. They bear the effects of that day every time they struggle to breathe or visit the doctor. More people have died from 9/11-related illnesses than were killed on the day itself. As we mark twenty five years since September 11th, our vow to Never Forget will not waver. We will remember — and honor — those we have lost with the accountability and honesty they deserve.

Today, I had the honor of meeting members of the Emergency Service Unit, the most elite tactical team in the NYPD. ESU is called to protect New Yorkers during our gravest emergencies. On September 11th, they answered that call. Of the 23 members of the NYPD who died in the line of duty that day, 14 were from ESU. Three of them — Sergeant Michael Curtin, Detective Joseph Vigiano, and Officer John D’Allara — were from Truck 2, the unit I visited this afternoon. We spoke about the courage that ESU demonstrated in our city’s hour of need, and the indelible legacy left by those officers who made the ultimate sacrifice. We will never forget what Truck 2, the Emergency Service Unit, and the men and women of the NYPD did that day — and do every day — to keep New Yorkers safe.

Yesterday, we celebrated the largest Caribbean community in the country, and one of the most joyful days on New York City’s calendar. For 59 years, J’Ouvert and the West Indian American Day Carnival have been woven into the fabric of our city. The doubles and jerk chicken along the Parkway. The unmistakable melodies of steel pan. The vibrant flags celebrating the incredible diversity of Caribbean heritage. The cheering crowds filling the streets. New York is better because Caribbean New Yorkers call it home. From the first notes of Soca Night to the moment we met on the road, it was an honor to share in this beloved tradition with you.

BREAKING: Mayor Zohran Mamdani just released 170,000+ pages of long-hidden NYC 9/11 records, including the Harding Memo. Additionally he launched a public portal. After 25 years of delays by prior administrations, he delivered the transparency first responders and survivors deserved. This is what accountability looks like.

Children do not “have sex” with adults. Adults rape children. Adults molest children. Adults sexually abuse children. Calling it “sex” implies there was consent. A CHILD CANNOT CONSENT.

Black Americans are being found hanging in 2026. For generations, Black people were lynched while institutions stood by and did nothing. We cannot repeat that history. I’m demanding a full investigation from the DOJ.

🔥DOLLY PARTON HAD TO PULL HER CAR OVER & ALMOST WEPT… the first time she heard “I Will Always Love You” by Whitney. She made around $10 million off Whitney Houston’s version of “I Will Always Love You” in the 90s. Most people would’ve bought a bigger house or a boat. She bought a whole strip mall in a Black neighborhood in Nashville instead. Off the beaten path. She said she did it because of Whitney… called it “the house that Whitney built.” Same woman who built Dollywood and started the Imagination Library. That program has sent out over 325 million free books to kids so they grow up loving to read. And when Hurricane Helene hit her people in East Tennessee… she put up $1 million of her own money and her companies matched it with another million. Quiet class. No big speeches needed.
