You can’t go wrong with Patricia Wentworth! 😉
A late Patricia Wentworth, showing some falling off. But still - Miss Silver, a lost heir, and a black lace dress and oatmeal tweed suit. And a shocker - no coughing! clothesinbooks.blogspot.com/…

Update: the new Persephone bookshop opens at 10am on Weds Nov 4 at 1 Scala Street, London W1, with the proviso that this is v much a 'soft' opening, a bit like a pop-up, so there may be a slight air of chaos. But we will certainly have all our 155 titles in stock - do come by.
We have some news. This autumn we are opening a second Persephone bookshop – in London, in Fitzrovia to be precise. We had not actually been planning this, but by chance we heard about a 1767 four-storey house that had become available... More info here: persephonebooks.co.uk/blogs/…

OK, #BookTwitter! I'm working in an article for classicmystery.blog on #mystery book series that should be adapted for TV that haven't been done before? Any suggestions? I've got my top five (although it might become a top ten) but what would you like to see?

There’s a version of the future where ten-second videos are most people’s preferred entertainment, where most writing is machine-generated, where education exists only in name. The only way to prevent this is for us, all of us, to begin regularly reading challenging books.
no offense but reading is literally the cure to brain rot and there’s no work around to reading books

V cheered that Paths in the Snow, the first of my books about Narnia, is due to be published in the United States in a couple of weeks’ time. I’m intrigued by how different the cover is from the UK edition, but how excellent it is at the same time.
