This is an incredible way to cope after losing a historic referendum.
Albertans chose Canada. It wasn't Ottawa that did that. It wasn't Carney or Trudeau or "the Laurentian elite."
Just regular, Canada-loving Albertans. That's who beat you. Albertans.

Last night, there was an NHL, regular season game.
It featured the Toronto Maple Leafs and a new team that had never laced up together, before.
Toronto beat them, 3-1.
The players in Toronto's locker room didn't celebrate- while spirits were high across the hall (in the losing team's locker room).
Though this is a recorded regulation win for Toronto, the real ones know... a new team that put points on the board against an established NHL dynasty is going to be a leader in their space.
That's what we are. Potential.
It's up to us what we want to do with it. A quarter of the votes is no small amount.
Well done, Independence.
82 games a season. Just 1 down.

On CBC, Smith stopped short of saying that she will disqualify separatist candidates or refuse to sign their applications...
But she made it clear that no separatists will be welcome in leadership or official roles and a pledge must be signed.
The Purge apparently, has begun.

EVERYBODY STOP TALKING ABOUT THE REFERENDUM. LOOK OVER HERE!!!
Starting January 4, every school in Alberta will proudly fly both the Canadian and Alberta flags, and any other flags will only be temporarily displayed when they serve a clear educational, commemorative or community purpose.
Letβs teach our children to celebrate our amazing country and province.

I can't take these clowns seriously.
I would much rather appointed senators who have histories of public service than a bunch of power-hungry clowns who commiserate with power to get elected & fail to do FA.
At least our senators belong in the senate.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Canadians love - want to be governed.
There is such a dependency on the state.
In the Alberta referendum, majority of voters voted to keep the unelected senate. They voted for unelected people to have legislative powers over them.
They literally voted against a democratic choice thus they voted against a democracy.
You couldn't even begin to convince an American that unelected people should have powers over them before you get thrown out.
The average Canadian supports basic dictatorship.
See why we need to get rid of the UCP in 2027?
It's full of radicalized bigots like this freak, who demonizes LGBTQ+ Albertans & who wants to make Alberta a Christian theocracy.
Say no to UCP bigotry. Say yes to competent government for a change.

I will die on this hill: The government is not the boss of reporters.
The "question limit" is a COVID hangover. If politicians don't want reporters repeating questions after the "limit" they imposed to avoid pushback, they should answer them the first time.

It wasn't a choice. Rebel News was first in line at the mic.
The choice is making reporters line up at a physical mic stand - in a room that is already mic'd up - and limiting to 2 questions, rather than fielding questions scrum-style, like politicians did prior to COVID.
Danielle Smith is scared of her own separatist UCP members.
This article confirms it. She knows her party is fractured, & separatists are going to try & fully take over the party.
This is why we need a new, competent government, not the UCP.

"An arsonist wanting credit for putting out the fire"-@LukaszukAB says Smith deserves "zero" credit for the referendum results.
He slams her for dividing Albertans & wasting taxpayer money on a question that shouldβve been settled in the legislature.

Hopefully we will hear more about what happened.

Alberta Premier Danielle Smith said candidates, MLAs, prov and local board reps and candidates, must be on board with federalism.
But Smith, when pressed, wouldn't say whether she would disqualify people or kick them out.

NEWS: Alberta's premier says if UCP members can't get on board with the party being pro-Canada, they should jump ship and find a new one.
I hope every UCP member and supporter will watch this video.
The referendum is behind us. Albertans gave their answers and our party must honour that mandate.
What comes next is the only fight that matters, and it is twelve months away.
Naheed Nenshi's NDP have told us exactly what they will do with power:
π Reopen the drug consumption sites we closed
π Let minors undergo irreversible gender surgeries without their parents' knowledge.
π Shut down school choice.
π Bring back the production cap and the net zero regulations to phase out our energy sector.
π Open border immigration.
π A carbon tax.
π And Avi Lewis in Ottawa pulling Nenshiβs strings.
United, our party will win. Divided the NDP wins and all Albertas would suffer as a result.
The time for division is over.
The time to unite and fight for a stronger Alberta and Canada is now.
There's a new version of this post
The separatists really aren't sending their best.
Yes, Alberta decisively chose to stay a part of Canada.
October 19th, 2026 will be remembered as the day that Albertans overwhelmingly chose to stay in Canada.
Thanks, separatists!

So... what did Alberta decide?
It's amazing. Almost every single major separatist account hasn't posted since last night's catastrophic defeat at the hands of proud federalist Albertans.
Only Parker has said anything, & he admitted defeat.
Good.

Our future. Our choice.
Polls open in the morning. Everything this campaign has been about comes down to the mark you make tomorrow.

Vote Option 2 on October 19. LetAlbertaDecide.com

One of the key messages that we were getting from some in the Alberta separatist camp was that a vote on option 2 was not to separate, but to send a message to Ottawa. So how many sent a message? How can separatists now claim 25% of Albertans want to separate?
