Re the Jalen Hurts situation; @DrJesseMorse appeared on the Coach JB show @TheCoachJBShow and discussed the Jalen Hurts medical situation. The good doctor thinks Mr Hurts has one helluva lawsuit against the @Eagles and their medical staff. The more you look at this situation you have to ask what the Eagles were thinking? Jalen’s life was potentially on the line and yet they let him make not 1, but 2 international flights and also let him play with an identified clot in his leg. Also the doctor discussed the fact that Hurts now has clots in his lungs. His take is that either the lung clots were missed, or the leg clot moved due to playing in a football game and taking those flights. Also he stated that not putting Hurts on blood thinners immediately was a big mistake ( he never used the word malpractice, but the implication there). I hope that Jalen’s career isn’t over if he wants to continue playing. But if it is, he can point to this moment as the time it ended.

@dnongino when are you going to call for the release of the PROVEN INNOCENT Brian Cole jr.? You can’t be two places at once Dan. The video clearly shows him elsewhere at the time the “bombs” were placed. The internet has the goods. You and the FBI set him up as a patsy. Do the right thing Dan. But it seems you’ve totally lost your way so I doubt you will say anything you fraud.

I’m starting to wonder why so many of you out there are lamenting the fact that attendance is down during the @MLB playoffs. Yes, MLB raised ticket prices this year. In Tampa they were asking $200 for upper deck seats. Ridiculous. Also they are ignoring the other elephant in the room. Their problem is that they are looking at the micro view (ballpark attendance) rather than the macro view (the US economy). It’s not a coincidence that even Dodger Stadium isn’t selling out. Gas in California averages $5.53 a gallon. Rent is reaching unaffordable levels for many people. Inflation is eating away at our paychecks for food and essentials. Yet there are some of you that think this has no impact on sports attendance levels? Get your heads out of your rectal area. Baseball attendance reflects the overall economy. The current US economy sucks and that, plus outrageous ticket prices are the primary drivers for lack of attendance.

So happy for the @Brewers and their fans. They were the best team in baseball during the regular season and now they get to try and seal the deal with a World Series win. Cheers!
This was the reaction in Milwaukee as the Brewers clinched a spot in their first World Series in 44 years by sweeping the Dodgers.

Hey @Dodgers fans, anyone have the backstory on Mookie Wilson’s glove? I was wondering if he lost a bet or something? It’s ugly. Like, hideous. If it’s for some charity/dead person/latest social cause, I don’t apologize, so don’t bother to virtue signal.

Hey @Yankees if you do decide to switch managers, might I suggest a fellow South Carolinian that you may be familiar with: Brett Gardner. He knows the organization He’s tough as nails He will hold players accountable. He probably wouldn’t do it because for some reason he’s isolated himself from you, but it’s worth a shot.

Most of you commenting on this seem to be missing the point. It’s not about loyalty to a team. The Rays have one of the highest tv ratings in MLB. But they have a piece of shit stadium that’s a pain in the ass to get to (been there a bunch) with nothing to do outside of it. Let’s add the fact they are charging up to $200 for upper level, restricted view seats. This, in an economy where gas and rent are making basic living for people unaffordable. And we’re bitching about not filling up a stadium? Look at the macro environment rather than the micro.

Absolutely **phenomenal** from @JoelWebbon. Bravo. Huckabee thought he'd throw out a threat, a false accusation, and use his political power to intimidate and silence a U.S. Citizen. Turns out, Webbon isn't someone you want to try to silence, because he took Huckabee's threat and false accusation and metaphorically beat him like a red-headed stepchild (or disloyal diplomat) with the truth. Webbon writes... "Ambassador, calling for the arrest and harassment by law enforcement of a law-abiding American taxpayer, in no uncertain terms, is a whole other level of treason - even greater than you've already committed. I’ll have you know, America has a proud history of calling for the heads of public servants who betray We the People. Our nation was founded upon the precept. It is one of the prouder aspects of our glorious heritage. And on December 3, the Department of Defense will execute a man at Fort Hood for being a traitor. You are no less a traitor. And in the end, the dead from your treason will be far higher than the victims of his handgun. You have committed treason on a grand scale, on foreign soil, betraying your oath of office and the people who commissioned you to do the job that you have sat in Jerusalem, doing for a different nation altogether. And people have died as a result - not just countless Christians thanks to illegal settler violence, who are carrying out the precepts of Talmudic Judaism that declare Gentile lives to be worth nothing - but Americans in Gaza, not “caught in the crosshairs” as though they are collateral damage, but shot on purpose through the head with a sniper’s bullet, another shot through the shoulder blades while wearing a press jacket, and another was dragged behind a car until they died. And all of them, murdered while Israel knew there was an American ambassador in Jerusalem who would not defend his people, but instead, defend Jewish Palestine. The Bible says in the watchman passage of Ezekiel that if it’s your job to warn of danger and no one listens, it’s on them. But if you don’t warn of danger, then that blood is on you. “But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand.” What should be required at your hand, Ambassador? You were the watchman. You chose not to sound the alarm. And God has spoken. You are washed in the blood, Mike. But not the blood of Christ - but the blood of Christians. It cried out from the ground, and you tried to quiet it... But now, an American pastor has criticized your conduct, and you have applauded the call for his arrest due to his free speech. It appears Israel has rubbed off on you. Political prisoners aren’t allowed in the United States, Ambassador. You’re confusing your one true love, Israel, with the United States. Your affection for Jewish Palestine appears to have survived every inconvenience except an American Citizen insisting that you answer for your disloyalty. You’re not angry about dead Americans. You’re not angry about dead Christians. You’re angry that YOU must be held to account. But sir, this is America, and you have forgotten who we are. You were appointed to represent Americans abroad, including Americans who reject your politics and dispute your perverted theology. The office belongs to the nation, and you have sullied it with the stench of anti-Gentile hatred and treason. Frankly, we’ll be damned before we let you remake America into Israel’s image." Charlottesville. We heard the name steadily through recent political campaigns and Democrats used it as a cudgel to beat into our heads the idea that White Supremacy was alive and well and all you had to do was look at the “Unite the Right!” rally held there. Nazi’s, Brownshirts and racists, oh my. Well it turns out that maybe it was all a lie. The Southern Poverty Law Center is a left wing clearinghouse for all sorts of grievances real and imagined. And they are now being indicted for wire fraud and money laundering. Seems THEY were the ones paying for and supporting the “White Supremicists” that showed up at the rally. Because apparently there aren’t enough REAL white Supremicists anymore so they had to create them. Because if there’s no boogeymen to scare our supporters they won’t send us their money anymore. And for any liberals out there who have sent them money over the years, maybe you should start to look elsewhere to find your communist ambitions.

I spent 25 years working in the Defense Industry. After retiring from the Navy I started out working at a private shipyard as a Project Supervisor. Basically I coordinated the work between the different crafts and interfaced with the Government Inspectors and the ship. It was a great way to learn the business. After two years I got Promoted to Program Manager which is what I did for the next 20 years. Three different companies, and I managed well over a billion dollars in contracts. Along the way I earned an MBA (thanks to the VA) and even did a short stint as a Corporate Finance Manager when my bosses needed a gap filler. And by the way, they said; How about making sure that new Corporate Enterprise System gets implemented? This was my first lesson in the price of competence. If you do something outstandingly well, your bosses will think you need more to do, and they will load you up. But here’s the other lesson. Ensure that with more responsibility that it comes with more reward. Your boss wants you to take on more responsibility? Great. But use acceptance as leverage for more: money, vacation time, etc. Also I learned that it’s imperative to have a mentor. Someone who you can ask for career advice. Who can be trusted. Ideally it’s someone positioned high enough in the company to know what it takes to achieve that level of success. My mentor was instrumental in my hiring by two different Fortune 500 companies. He would provide an introduction or make a phone call and then it was on me to seal the deal. I was able to mentor a couple of young people during my time and I learned how rewarding it is to give a young person an opportunity and then see them thrive. All in all my Corporate experiences helped me evolve my leadership skills to succeed with leading civilians. And female civilians at that. I rarely worked with females in 24 plus years in the Navy. I mentioned earlier I filled in as Finance Manager. Well my Department consisted of me and 4 females all under 25. So I went to my resident female expert (my wife of 43 years) and asked what do I do, and how do I lead them? She said “chocolate goes a long way.” We had a long scheduled vacation to Las Vegas and so I brought back a bunch of Ethel M’s chocolate (if you’ve never had you’re missing out). I had some laid out for them when they came in the next Monday. We got along famously after that.

I am in my 51st year as a fan of the @Buccaneers and this team continues to surprise me. I learned a long time ago never to predict the outcome of any of their games. Because even though I’m pretty good at picking winners (FTR I don’t bet on games but make picks for fun.), I am terrible at picking the Bucs. Atrocious really. Maybe it’s my loyalty to them that injects bias into my prediction. Perhaps I don’t want to jinx them (I am superstitious about sports only.). I don’t know. I told my friends this week that Dallas was going to crush the Bucs. Embarrass them on National TV. Well smack my ass and call me Sally, but it was the @dallascowboys that got embarrassed. Even one of the Stadium workers apparently thought that and said so. To Dallas’s $60M QB. Ouch. But please don’t think that the Bucs are suddenly going to run off a win streak. They’re still quite a sloppy team. They got bailed out so many times by Dallas’ defensive penalties and busted coverages, that the Dallas D is on speed dial if any of the Bucs get in trouble with the law. And Coach Bowles, three things Sir: 1. Next time you need a chip shot FG to go up 3 scores late in the 4th quarter, please consider “TAKING THE F-ING 3! 2. Just a friendly reminder that timeouts do not carry over from one half to the next. And they can’t be used after the game ends either. 3. And no joke, congrats on a great win Coach!

Roseanne Barr is back with a new sitcom, Meemaw. 🍿 Eight years after ABC fired her off the Roseanne revival, she quietly wrapped an eight-episode comedy in Austin. She co-wrote it, raised the money from private investors, and ran it as a union shoot. No network or streamer has picked it up yet. She plays the matriarch of a mixed-race family of preppers in Texas. The pitch, from the poster: a fiercely patriotic prepper grandma sets out to save America, take down a criminal empire, and throw her granddaughter the perfect bat mitzvah by any means necessary. Tagline: “God. Guns. Grandkids. And whatever it takes.” It’s semi-autobiographical. Barr’s character comes from a liberal East Coast Jewish family, gets disinherited, and has to start over in Texas. She calls it more John Waters than a straight political show, and says she takes shots at both sides: “I’m an equal opportunity destroyer.” Cast: Randy Quaid as her husband, Drea de Matteo as her daughter, Omar Gooding as her son-in-law, Doug Jones, and viral tween Indy Bugg as the granddaughter. Guests include Jon Lovitz, Tony Hinchcliffe, and Kim Congdon. Co-writers are Roseanne alum Allan Stephan and Adam Sandler collaborator Allen Covert. Barr’s line on what she wants from it: family members who can’t stand each other in the same room, laughing, admitting they were all jerks, then getting a beer.

Tonight just proved, once again that betting on the @NFL is for suckers. My @Buccaneers go into Dallas at 0-4. And with an undrafted rookie QB starting his second game in the NFL come out of there with a 24-16 win. Bucky Irving destroyed the @dallascowboys defense and Jalon Daniels was superb managing this game. Cudos to my Bucs. Great job boys!

So how do you MAGA loyalists out there (what remains of you) feel about President Trump giving all the Deep State leaders a pass? After railing for years about how they screwed him, and how they were criminals he said “Nah, I’m not going after them.” Two things: No shit Donnie. You’ve done exactly nothing about it since you returned to office. And also, it’s clear you aren’t calling the shots anymore. Does this change your feelings towards him or do you agree?

So let me get this @Yankees fans; first you interfere with what was possible a season saving home run. Then, to top it off when called on it you throw stuff in the field? That’s a bad look. And whoever the jagoff was in the Yankee jacket that interfered, look up a name: Steve Bartman.

I’m either going into a minor depression tonight (that only lasts until next spring) or else I get to enjoy another day of @Yankees baseball tomorrow. Let’s go Yanks!
