3.17.2 and 3.17.3 harden security.
The local proxy (decap-server) is a dev tool and now acts like one: it only listens on localhost. Using it on a network? Please upgrade.
Two more patches stop untrusted repo content from running scripts in the CMS.

Martin talked about Decap and Turbo on Bloomberg Adria TV today (in Slovenian).
We are one step closer to making "git-based CMS" a mainstream term.

You can now process files in Decap *before* uploading them.
You can strip metadata and configure format, quality, width, height, and aspect ratio.
Scope it globally, per collection, or per field.

We're on Bluesky! For an open-source project, it makes sense to be on an open-protocol network.

How to connect a Turbo site:
1. Create a site in Turbo
2. Paste the site ID into config.yml
3. Point the CMS at the beta build (Turbo backends aren't in the stable release yet)

We added a new (beta) widget to Decap CMS - good news for users experiencing random crashes in our WYSIWYG editor.
The Richtext Widget is a drop-in replacement for the Markdown Widget, which is still available, but new features will be on the Richtext.

We are SSG-agnostic, but when we had to choose a replacement for GatsbyJS for our docs site, we chose @GoHugoIO. It's fast, reliable, regularly maintained, and much more. One day, we will be like that 🤞😎

We released [email protected] today. It includes fixes and improvements by 10 contributors - 8 of those are first-timers!
Thanks for being part of the Decap community 🩷

Decap CMS retweeted
Put together a site using @Decap_CMS and @eleven_ty to replace an aging Java-based CMS. Build times went from minutes to under a minute, including search index and deployment. Not a 1-to-1 feature match, but meets all the current needs. Also got rid of the Postgres db.
We refreshed our website at decapcms.org/ to give it some color 🩷💜
